Red sky. Red cheeks. Red hearts. Red love.

"The air was cold as I walked down the barren sidewalk, Jonah's fingers intertwined tightly with mine.

"Jonah, are you sure she's changed." I asked, a hind on nervousness sprinkling on top of my voice.

"Amber's a new person. You'll like her. Trust me." He said giving my hand a squeeze.

"Are you sure. I mean, won't it be awkward?" I asked, still nervous.

"It's only awkward if you make it awkward. Just be yourself and have fun." Jonah reassured.

"That's easy for you to say. Your Jonah Beck." I mumbled lightly under my breath.

"And Jonah Beck is nothing without Cyrus Goodman." Jonah said happily, lifting me up by the waist and twirling me around in his arms.

"Do you always have to be this extra?" I said, trying to act annoyed.

"Yup." Jonah replied.

"Well put me down. It's cold up here." I complained while shivering.

"It's cozy down here" Jonah replied, snuggling into my stomach.

"Just put me down." I said, defeated.

Eventually, we reached Ambers house. I could hear the music playing from three blocks away.

"Jonah, are you sure. What if she tries to steal you from me." I asked, still trying to find an excuse to back out.

"Aw, is my Cy jealous." Jonah teased. "I already told you that theirs no Jonah Beck without a Cyrus Goodman." Jonah finished, stroking my cheek.

Suddenly we heard the loudest "Awwwwwww" in the highest voice imaginable, turning around to see Buffy having a literal fangirl attack.

"You two are the cutest." Buffy managed to say after she finished hyperventilating.

I half expected Andi to pop out behind her, but to my surprise, she wasn't there.

"Was that really necessary?" I said, sighing as I turned around to face a wide smile Buffy.

"Yes." She said, the grin still plastered across her face.

"Both of you, extra." I started, looking at both Jonah and Buffy.

"Also, where's Andi? Why isn't she here?" I asked

"Andi said she was feeling sick." Buffy answered as her expression became more serious, pulling out her phone and showing me the text conversation.

"Scrolling through the texts, I said in a reassuring voice "Huh... It's probably the babies. Andi's getting into her second trimester now. It's normal." I said, handing the phone back to Buffy, calming her down a bit.

Walking up to Ambers house, we saw about a dozen kids standing outside, throwing up and walking around. One of the kids almost threw up on Buffy, and let's just say that situation didn't go so well.

After just barely stopping a fight and managing to tame Buffy, we somehow made it to Ambers front door, which was left wide open. If a cop passed by we would all be in cuffs. Well, that was if they didn't lose consciousness due to smoke inhalation first.

Three hookah stations were set up in the living room alone, filling the entire front half of the house with smoke. People were stumbling around, their eyes red and squinted, obviously high.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly until I noticed Amber coming up to me, Marty on her right side. They both looked high

"Hey, Cyrus right." Amber greeted.

"Ya, it's a great party by the way." I complimented, actually having fun.

"Oh, It's nothing really. Just as long as everybody's having fun." She said smiling. Maybe Jonah was right. She did change.

"But Cyrus, look around." She started, gesturing around the room. "You're the only one not on something." She finished as Marty took out an edible.

"Oh, I'm trying to quit actually. I can't take it." I politely refused.

"Come on Cyrus, just a small piece. Everyone here is high. You're missing out." She started

"Ya, a little piece won't hurt." Marty added, chiming in.

"Alright" I said giving in, not wanting to be a buzz kill. "I'll take a little." I said, holding out my hand.

However, just then I felt my phone start to vibrate in my pocket, against my thigh.

Pulling the phone out of my pocket, I saw that it was Buffy, trying to call me.

"I'm sorry guys, but I have to take this." I said to Amber and Marty, showing the pm the phone call.

Walking away to a more quiet corner, I answered the call, putting the phone up to my ear.

"Cy-Cyrus." Buffy spoke in a shaky voice, sounding as if she was on the verge of tears.

"Buffy, where are? Are you okay?" I asked, concerned.

"I-I'm at the ba-bathroom, ne-near the ba-back." She managed to get out.

"All right, hang tight. I'm coming right now." I said before hanging up.

Pushing past the hoards of people, I eventually made it to the bathroom.

The bathroom had a large black door separating it from the hallway. Leading up to the bathroom, the floors, as well as the walls, seemed to take on a visibly darker hue.

Placing my hand on the handle, I opened the door, greeted by a cracked phone on the black marble floor with Buffy leaning over a sink, her hands shaking as genital rivers of tears flowed down her cheeks.
