Chapter -11- The Key Is Crimson

Adelphi continues explaining everything in detail to me. Yet I am getting anxious by the minute. My mate has been alone thru all this ordeal. Well no more; Once I find him I will forever be there by his side. I stand up preparing to leave when she asks casually "Alpha would I be intruding if I asked to accompany you? It would probably be best. My daughter and Randall can be much sometimes."

I smile leaning forward extending my arm in gentleman fashion. An invitational response. "It would be my honor" Adelphi places her hand thru my extended arm. When she does, I feel a strong tingle, more like an electrical chill run thru my whole body causing me to shake for a moment.

Heading to my car Adelphi tells me which route is best to take to get there. Then more regarding Carmen & Randall. Crimson interrupts starting his own conversation "She is a formidable seer, quite incredible if you think about it". I question him "huh, why do you say that?" Truth is I thought briefly the same thing but did not give it in depth thought then. I was too focused on finding ALEXI.

"She knew who we were when we approached her. Only a truly powerful seer can see so clearly and powerfully" He brought up a point "Got a point there buddy"

He continues "Even now sitting close to me I don't smell her scent". Come to think of it he is right. I can't smell her scent either. Adelphi brings me out of my thoughts as if reading my mind shocking me "I can mask my scent at will with my surroundings. It has become second nature" she says.

I make it a point to emphasize "You're quite powerful Adelphi. My compliments and respect to your abilities. I have never ever met a seer with your level of power". She turns to me smiling. "Thank you, Alpha". I can't help but wonder more about Adelphi for a few minutes.

The ability of her masking her scent is quite impressive indeed. Still, something does not feel right to me but soon, I let it go. For a moment a different thought now invades my mind. My promise with Selene. How will she accept the fact, our promise will not be fulfilled. I have found my destined mate? It is something I will deal with when I return home.

Right now another more important thought takes over. Why did this happen? What truly happened that resulted in my mate having amnesia? Even though the mate bond has awakened in us both, will he recognize me as the one who is his destined mate? Or will he reject me? Will his protectors allow me to approach him?

Or will I have to deal with them first. I know I am impulsive and can be brash with my actions. Yet the thought of being with my destined mate causes both apprehension within me and a stir in my bikini briefs as I feel it begin to tighten, reducing my comfort. I am forced to open and close my legs in an attempt to give my cock the room it needs to stop the increasing restricting discomfort that is growing down there.

My mind's racing with all sorts of different thoughts I am excited. When we connect to the Palisades I feel the mate bond's pull again on me. Good thing the Palisades is almost empty of cars. The urge to be by ALEXI's side makes me press further down on the accelerator causing the car to jump forward going faster. I notice the sun beginning to set. It's orange cooper sunbeams slowly sinking behind the horizon, what a beautiful sight. I imagine ALEXI with me together watching many sunsets. "Soon amor mio (my love) soon" I mumble.

Adelphi turns to me with her smile "Yes Alpha". Crimson mumbles chuckling "Creeepyy!!" I chuckle and grin even more, the anxiety inside me and my groin is building more intense. Now its Crimsons turn to tell me "yes soon, calm down" I focus again on the road and see a traffic accident up a head. We're being detoured because of a four-car collision at a turtle's pace I hit the steering column getting frustrated I yell "FUCK!".

My mood turns nasty ass. My nerves are on edge like nails grating across a chalkboard. Crimsons mood proving no different. He's been fighting me, trying to force a phase to run all the way there.

To calm me (or distract me) Adelphi continues explaining to me "Don't worry Alpha. Alexi is not going to be searching today. He will choose to follow Randall's advice and stay inside. He's not experiencing the headaches as much like before. But when the headaches happen; they have become extremely intense as Sable's time to surface draws ever closer. It is scaring him" I hear Adelphi tell me this I think "Thank the goddess! At least he will be safe."

Adelphi continues. "What Alexi does not know is that Sable IS coming. It is important you realize the severity of what I am about to tell you. ALEXI has not phased for the last 13 years. My Alphas Wulf told me on this very night, that will change. To protect him from harm, Randall was ordered to lock him in a cage and stand guard until the moon passes." Crimson jumps up with a roar snarling menacingly "WHAT!! NOO! HOW DARE THEY!"

TO calm him I speak with him "Relax Crimson I understand your rage. But we will be there soon. He will not be alone."

Crimson snarls at me "NO ONE WILL KEEP ME FROM MY MATE!!" I respond, "No one is Crimson" I look at Adelphi and as if to answer my statement to Crimson. Adelphi says, "It is important you be there for Sable not for ALEXI" I keep looking at her but an apparent question is on my face. As Adelphi now speaks, she further clarifies why "Having his mate there will calm Sable which Crimson must do, Calm him. His presence is the only thing capable to help Sable from losing control.

In this way Sable will not call upon his full celestial power. You Crimson, are the only one able to control him now." Crimson immediately stops fighting to phase. He wants to know more. With a question appearing on my face. "What do you mean seer? Why?" my voice is concern with mounting tension. So close, so very close I can't lose my mate.

"When Sable surfaces after so many years of being unable to, the strain might be mentally too much for him. Causing Sable to unleash his full power without meaning to. The presence of his mate will calm Sable immediately, keeping him from doing so. Crimson's scent will aid Sable during this time, to maintain control. Crimson is Sable's control" Crimson whimpered.

I have to ask Adelphi "what about his caretakers? Aren't they powerful enough to contain his might." Adelphi's response now triples my anxiety "They are not Celestials Crimson. With his mate bond calling out, there is only one force capable of containing a celestial's force. Another celestial. More exactly you Ruben."
