"SHIT! SHIT! SHIT! How did this happen? is the god eleggua playing tricks on me?" I am pissed yet nervous as shit. I could only acquire a box of chocolate and a pack of scrawny looking flowers Walmart. I had carefully put this all together for this special day humans celebrate and it ALL WENT TO HELL!. Looking down at the small white heart-shaped chocolate box and the flowers again. I am reminded of my past.
I often made fun of the male humans I saw running around at the last minute buying chocolate and shitty looking flower bouquets in Walgreens or CVS. SOme holding a tense look on their faces while snatching the various colored teddy bears off the shelves. Then squeeze on their hearts to hear the music. Or the teddy bear sings a song moving back and forth opening & closing its eyes when you squeezed them.
It was funny watching grown men indiscreetly getting the nearest woman's opinion, or squeezing the music of the rows of bears for just the right song. Yup, this would always get a chuckle out of me to them. Looking down at my only prize after hurriedly rushing around the mall in Grizzly town thinking my alpha status would get me something good.
I would say to myself "Thank my MOTHER for making me WULF!!" hearing the occasional male human scrambling saying "SHIT SHIT I Fucking forgot AGAIN!"
NOW LOOK AT ME!! I FEEL LIKE SUCH A DOUCHE! I HAVE BECOME ONE OF THEM!
The perfect romantic dinner at the slow turning restaurant Tavern Green went to hell. I remembered to late to make the reservations, so naturally, they are booked solid. The flowers, for the most part, are not my fault. THOSE I ordered with time. But even they are on backorder soo will be arriving LATE!! But I did forget the Swedish chocolate Beta told me to order.
All I have are poor substitutes. A box of chocolate and some shitty flowers. Thank the Goddess I turned down the singing teddy bear. After stepping out of my car and reaching my porch. With a sigh, I go to the door and raise my hand to knock. But it opens before I get a chance to. Revealing him standing there on the other side smiling at me "Hey you". His tone soft comes from the smile on his face. His silver eyes sparkle with life, standing out in direct contrast with his mocha complexion.
"Hey." Seeing him and suddenly I am nervous as shit. Turning my gaze down I am reminded of the flowers and chocolate in my hands. Seeing Mulatto (Caramel) I had completely forgotten them. Mulatto has that effect on me. Something no one has ever made me feel in my life or will.
Slowly I lift my hands upwards, extending outwards towards him the poorly thought of gifts like a teenager trying to impress his girlfriend. "Mulatto, um. I am sorry Papi. I wanted this to be perfect for the first time. Yet everything came out wrong & fell apart." my gaze bounces down at the scrawny present I offer "Listen. Mulato. I wanted to do this human tradition in style and impress you. Show you how you have me. How every day I wish to express the love having you as my mate. It makes me feel. I planned a lot of things but...this is what I got bebe I ..." My gaze now briefly averts his and counts the tiles. Feeling defeated because nothing happened according to a human tradition of this special day.
Mulato (Caramel), with gentle movement forward, Reaches for the extended gifts. The way he looks at them taking them from me. I don't know. But I hear his tone grow even softer for a male "What are you talking about Kojak. They're perfect." Causing me to look up again to him. With a growing grin.
"I know. Your greatest FAN told me. It was a good thing you have such an awesome FRIEND." I watch the effect my words produce on my bald mate. His body language had sunken a little inwards before. But now he lifts his broad shoulders again. I know Reuben enough to know Mr. Perfect is feeling defeated dejected because nothing came out in accordance with his micromanagement technique when it comes to me. I grin at the fact that he so much effort into this. I grin more internally thinking "If he only knew who this FRIEND is."
