Chapter 2 — Roomy
📍 Housemistress' OfficeYou never imagined enjoying a ride on an indoor swing.
Your sister recently installed it in her office. Found it in a thrift store, she said.
Although used, it looked good as new with a polished wooden chair and rust-free chains. You pushed yourself slightly on the mount. Slightly, because you were afraid it might disconnect itself from the ceiling.
You rarely go to Nayeon's office. You didn't want anybody to know the housemistress was your older sister. But today, she had exciting news. In short, you're only here to end your curiosity.
"Installing a swing here is honestly a weird choice." You commented.
"It's called interior design, Y/N." She said bluntly.
Nayeon piled all the papers on her table and placed them inside a drawer. Then, she dusted her hands and sat down comfortably on her cushioned chair.
"So. What's the news?" You asked.
Nayeon happily clasps her hands together in a sigh.
"You finally have a new roommate!"
You're eyes went wide for a while but it went back to normal right after. That wasn't very exciting.
"Astounding." You said, pretending to be enthusiastic.
A roommate. That meant your privacy was thrown out of the window. You already got used to living alone and in peace after sharing with a hideous, rude girl before. Now, it's gone. Vanished. Poof.
"Clean the room, will you? She's arriving tonight." Nayeon said.
You tiredly nod at her and felt a sudden vibration on the front pocket of your jeans. You opened your phone to see it was a text from someone you've known for a long time.
Jimin
I'm outside."Right. I'm going home to get some clothes. Please do tell this girl that she's not welcome in my room." You said jokingly as you picked up your bag.
Nayeon rolled her eyes.
"Alone?" She asked.
"Jimin's coming."
Her brows raised at the mention of his name.
"Jimin? That boy never comes to visit me." She frowned.
You left Nayeon's office, taking the door that lead directly to the parking lot. You searched for a familiar face until you saw him leaning against his car.
Last time you saw Jimin was two months ago during your high school batch reunion. You didn't get to see each other after that. You got too busy with college. He's in medschool and you're in business.
"Hey." He greeted and pulled you in a tight hug.
As you were embraced in Jimin's muscular arms, there was something feminine that blended with his usual cologne.
