Chapter 25 — Boozy"This is where you work?"
You nodded slowly at the narrow–eyed Park Jimin. You were both standing outside the famous bar and casino, with the MinSons headlights right in front of your eyes.
"Yes. It's—"
"You work under Yoongi?" Jimin asked. "This is Yoongi's. Do you know Yoongi owns this?"
"Yes—"
"Quit."
"No!" You bellowed. "This is the one time I get a job I didn't even apply for."
"So?" Jimin looked at you.
"So, it's great!" You tell him. "Are you trying to make me quit because Yoongi's the boss?"
"No!" Jimin quickly answered. "It's a bar with older men and daring girls. It opens late at night, and it's just not okay!"
"Oh, come on." You rolled your eyes at Jimin. "Don't be such a mom."
"I bet someone has already tried to hit on you." Jimin crossed his arms.
"Well—"
"See!" Jimin pointed a finger at you.
You frowned at the moment when Jimin was right and has won another one of your arguments again. He sighed.
"I'll let you work tonight." Jimin gave in, looking at you. "But I'll be watching. If something goes wrong, you're done with this job."
You grinned.
A smile broke on Jimin's face but he tried to keep it away by forcing his lips to form a frown. "Chop chop, now."
—
The afternoon spent with Jimin in his car, slowly running on empty roads by the quiet part of town, was fun. Partly because you stopped by the McDonald's drive thru to buy fries even though you just had buffet together.
When the night sky took over after the sunset, you stopped by your house for dinner that your mother willingly cooked.
She was more excited to see Jimin than you. She even packed Jimin her best chocolate chip cookies in a large ziplock bag while you only received a goodbye hug and kiss from her.
The whole time you were there, Jimin was giving your mother hints that you were working in a 'bad' place. Thank the heavens she didn't get the message. Because if she would have, then you might be seeing yourself in another college.
Your eyes were tired from glaring too hard at Jimin every time he mentioned something related to bars. You were aware that Jimin was only teasing you, but what if your mother decides to be smart all of a sudden and figure out the situation?
You would have been killed.
"Shouldn't you be wearing red lipstick?" Jimin asked when he noticed you were the only female employee without lipstick on.
"I don't own one." You said.
"I'll buy you one."
