Chapter 24 Destined at the Wrong Time

Poke.

The soft tip of somebody's finger dips into your cheek lightly as small hot breaths collide on your face. It was as if someone was standing really, really close to you.

You flutter your eyes open when the finger pokes you again, but harder this time.

The dorm was still dark because the curtains weren't drawn, but there was sunlight seeping through the sides. It was morning. And in front of you was a slightly tousled, and tired–looking Park Jimin.

His eyebrows were pulled together as he was observing you for a short while before he pokes his finger on your cheek again.

"Stop that." You said, swatting his hand away. His pokes were getting painful.

"You're so ugly when you sleep."

"You don't have to tell me." You grumbled.

A wide grin made its way to Jimin's face when he laughed, making his eyes turn into half moons.

Jimin was squatting beside your bed, slightly leaning on your mattress. You wondered how long he's been here.

You glanced behind him and surely, Yoongi was still there, fast asleep, cuddly inside his thick blanket, and his hair everywhere.

"What time is it?" You asked Jimin.

"Almost eleven in the morning. You look really tired, school's giving you tons of work?"

You shake your head. "You look tired. Were you out partying again?"

"No. I stopped looking for the ladies."

You gasped, pushing yourself up from bed. "That's absurd!"

Jimin gave you a nasty look. "I take that as an insult."

"I mean, why?" You asked him and looked at him as if there was something wrong with him. "Are you into guys now?"

"No!" He immediately protested, then he frowned. "I'm a manly man."

You stared at him widely. He didn't look like the same Jimin. He didn't dress up today. Jimin only wore a striped yellow tee under a jean jacket, casual white sweatpants with oddly purple socks that didn't match well. Glancing to the mat near the door, there were his brown sandals orderly placed beside it.

There was definitely something off. Jimin always matched.

"Why don't we go partying tonight?" You said, standing up from bed and going to your closet, trying to find outfits that would be good enough to wear at a club. "Let's go find some hot—"

"No." He said, shaking his head. You swiftly turned your head at him. Jimin never denied a party offer.

"I just...can you have lunch with me today?" Jimin asked.

You nodded slowly. "Yeah. I'll go change for a bit."

Before you went in the bathroom, Jimin said, "Can you not wear something good? Because....heh." He pointed to his clothes.

You chuckled. "Sure thing, Jimin."
