Chapter 33 — Happy Birthday, Happy New Year.
Sitting on the couch and eating a bowl of cereal as an after-lunch 'snack' was totally weird but at the same time totally normal because everyone's appetite magically expands on the holidays.
With eyes glued on the TV showing The Vampire Diaries, it was a good day. Great show too. So are Wesley and Somerhalder's abs.
Minutes into the drama, the familiar ringtone of your phone rang. It was text message.
You couldn't help but look annoyed. Who texted you in the middle of your marathon?
Jimin
get dressed. i'm on my way to pick u upYou
why? im busyJimin
no you're not.
taehyung's post bday celebrationYou sat up straight and squinted at his text message. Taehyung's birthday was yesterday?
That reason was worth rapidly eating away your snack and going upstairs while munching the cereal down your throat only to get dressed.
You couldn't miss Taehyung's post-birthday event. All he ever was in your early friendship was kind and caring. He even grew on you through the countless of times you had lunch together at school.
You finally decided on what to wear and quickly put it on. On Christmas day, Jimin gave you a white knit scarf that he made himself. He even called you lucky, saying he'd never waste his energy on a gift like this if it were for somebody else.
You knew he was lying because he makes and customizes his gifts for all of his friends.
After you put your coat on, you wrapped the scarf around your neck.
With Jimin honking loudly outside, you found yourself running downstairs where you passed by your mom in the living room.
"Where are you going?" She asks, staring suspiciously at your hurried form.
"I actually don't know." You said. Your mom gave you a look. "But I'm going to be quick, I swear. Jimin's already outside."
You immediately went out, not giving your mother another look because of the reason that maybe she might not let you go because it's New Year's Eve. However, you're more scared of the fact that you didn't let her say anything at all.
You entered Jimin's car and he was casually waiting for you with large black sunglasses resting on the bridge of his nose as you fastened your seatbelt.
"Wow. You have your raybands on today."
"As you can see, this car isn't tinted and the sun is frustratingly bright today." He said, making you realize the car he brought wasn't his. It was his mom's.
"I think you're hungover. Where is your car anyway?"
"I'm not." He said awkwardly. "My car's flat. The back tire is completely busted so I brought this instead and left the tire-changing to my brother."
