Chapter 20 — Secret MissionYou scurried out of your dorm after you grabbed your coat that was hanging inside your closet. Yoongi went ahead to ready his car and when you arrived in the parking lot, you spotted Yoongi in it.
The car window rolled down and Yoongi's face appeared.
"Get in." He said. You went to the front seat as you remembered that he didn't want you to sit at the back because it made him feel like a driver. When you were safely in his car, the temperature immediately became warm. Yoongi had already turned on the warmer.
"I'll drive around until you get an idea on what to do." He said.
"This is going to take a log of gas..." You said as you noticed that his gas tank was full.
"Don't worry. If we run out, you're paying for gas."
You went silent and prepared to leave the car. "I think it's better if I take a walk—"
Yoongi chuckled. "I'm kidding, Y/N."
Yoongi stepped on the gas and you were out of campus.
"You're oddly being nice today."You said after a while.
"Is that a bad thing?" He asked you.
You nodded as you turned your head towards him. "Yes! And it's weird!"
"Why?" Yoongi looked puzzled.
"Because it's not you?" You shrugged.
"Oh please, you just don't know me." Yoongi said and stopped the car before a pedestrian lane when there was a line of children that passed the street. "I'm always nice."
You rolled your eyes, recalling every time that Yoongi has acted arrogant and rude towards you. "Right."
"So, any ideas yet? On where you're going?" He asked.
"Not yet." You said.
"Hm..." Yoongi murmured in thought. "You ever consider working part-time?"
"While in college? I don't think so." You said.
Yoongi glanced at you. "You know, I help managing my company everyday and—not to brag—still get high grades."
"Really?"
Yoongi nodded.
"Yeah. It's not much of a hassle." He said. "It's actually quite fun."
"Well." You said. "I don't know. It doesn't sound that bad."
"You're considering it?" Yoongi asked.
You shrugged. "Maybe. I don't know where to work."
Yoongi gave you another glance and he grinned. "Let's go find you a job."
Yoongi drove faster as if he was suddenly doused in excitement and he was constantly keeping an eye out for decent places to work in. The first stop you went to was a diner but the manager said they weren't looking for any applicants. Then, you went to a cafe that was hiring, but they were only accepting full-time workers.
"Let's try the mall." Yoongi suggested.
"No." You said. "Let's look for ones that are near campus."
