Chapter 27 — Winter
The winner of the fair was already announced.
You came in third place, although you wanted to bring home the bacon. If only your class was given the opportunity to stay in Mr. Byun's auditorium during the announcement, you would have seen the look on Yoongi and Taehyung's faces after the results were mentioned.
Speaking of the devil, Taehyung was waiting outside for you as you went out if the classroom.
"Let's go have dinner." He said.
You glanced at your watch and it was only 4:30 PM. "Don't you think it's too early for dinner?"
Taehyung ignored what you said and started walking. "Just come."
You followed him anyway. You arrived at the parking lot and stopped before a familiar car. Yoongi's car. You can't tell if Yoongi was already in the vehicle. His windows were heavily tinted.
"Go on." Taehyung said.
You nodded and went for the backseat until Taehyung stopped you.
"Woah, the girl always sits up front. Don't you know that?" He said, looking at you weirdly.
"No?" You were unsure.
"It's a guy thing." Taehyung said and opened the car door for you.
You get in and that's when you saw Yoongi. He doesn't acknowledge you. He just looks ahead, eyebrows crossed as he gripped tightly onto the stirring wheel.
Taehyung got in the car and you were ready to go but Yoongi doesn't seem to step on the gas.
"Put on your seatbelt." Yoongi said.
You didn't mind it because you thought he was talking to Taehyung.
"Y/N, are you deaf? Put on your seatbelt."
You coughed and immediately put on your seatbelt. "Sorry."
Yoongi suddenly pressed on the gas which made you lurch on your seat. You inhaled a heavy breath and was about to pounce at him but you realized that it was a bad idea. Yoongi looked like he was in a bad mood and it would be a death sentence if you chose to let him hear your sermon.
You turned to Taehyung at the back and mouthed, What happened?
Taehyung gave you a shy smile.

"Why? I really don't get it!" Yoongi said, looking from you to Taehyung.
You were at a burger place, and everything smelled like beef. But it was the good smell of beef.
Yoongi frustratingly chewed down a big bite from his double deck burger.
"3rd place is better than nothing." You told him slowly.
"What?" Yoongi snapped, frowning at you.
