Chapter 3 — Cranky Pants

"You're supposed to be a girl!" You said.

He was standing there with amusement in his eyes.

"Oh, trust me. I wasn't expecting you either." He said.

Immediately, you dashed to Nayeon's office. When you busted your sister's office door open, she was sitting down calmly with a smile on her face. She knew you were going to come.

"Aw, are you upset?" Nayeon pouts.

You weren't upset. You were furious.

"You are breaking the rules!" You whispered harshly.

Nayeon was well-aware of the rules. No boys in the girl's dormitory and no girls in the boy's dormitory.

"Calm down." She said. "Aren't you glad I placed a boy in your room? A very attractive boy."

Of course, she was going to set you up. Because you haven't tried a serious relationship, doesn't necessarily mean you aren't going to get married in the future. Moreover, now is not the time for relationships. Business isn't an easy course and you're pretty sure you can't spare time for a boy amidst all your school work.

Nayeon has always been pushing you into relationships ever since you stepped in high school. The men she tells you about were always interesting. They were good-looking, good-mannered, smart, but you just didn't pose a liking to them.

"That's it. I'm telling mom."

"No! You can't do that." Nayeon protested and grabbed your arm. "I'll buy you candy."

"Candy?" You asked in disbelief. "Transfer him."

"I can't." She whined. "There are no other available dorms left for him to go and everybody from the male dormitory are already in pairs. It seems like you're the only one with an available slot."

"Kim Boyeon has no roommate," You said, sliding in ways to make him transfer. As far as you know, Boyeon's dorm has a free bed.

Your sister made a face, shaking her head. "She's weird. He won't like it."

"What? So you're letting me sleep in the same room with some stranger?" You said. "I'm your sister!"

"I'm not setting you up if that's what you're thinking. He's very important. We can't lose him." Nayeon said.

You sulked. He looked far from important to you. But if Nayeon was going off the rules, then he is really someone worth breaking them.

Nayeon grabbed her mug and filled it with coffee.

"Who?"

Nayeon's eyes flicker at you in an instant. "You don't know him?"

"Of course, I don't."

"Really? I remember you watching him on the news that time when we were at uncle's!" She said.

You tried to recall but all you remember was watching a bunch of cartoons and an extremely romantic movie in HBO.
