Chapter 16 — Jumping Out of WindowsIf there was anything that could compare your weight at the moment, it would be a feather. Min Yoongi did not show even the tiniest sign of struggle as he pulled you away. There was only one thing in his mind—to get away as fast as possible. He couldn't bare his friends loudly teasing him, especially that they were teasing him with someone he never imagined to be teased with.
You turned you head and eyed the boys for help, specifically at Jimin, but it was no use. They were either grinning or smirking at you. Jimin did not look too happy. He had a glum expression on his face.
Yoongi opened the door to the first room he saw and entered. Left with no choice because his grip on your wrist was firm, you sadly followed him inside.
The room was poorly illuminated by the streetlight outside. All you could see was outlines of the things surrounding you. If you could only find where the switch was, everything would be alright.
Yoongi closed the door and leaned on the wall. You moved awkwardly.
"What do we do now?" You asked in a monotoned voice.
"We wait." Yoongi said.
You grunted. Great. Waiting in the dark for who knows how long was probably the most boring thing one could encounter.
"You had to pick me. Really." You muttered under your breath but it was clear enough for Yoongi to hear.
"Obviously, I had no choice." He said.
"You had six other choices." You put your hands up, showing six fingers that represented his friends. "You could've chosen someone else like...Hoseok!"
"I don't need to pick him. Our bromance is strong enough as it is." He said.
"Bromance?" You repeated.
"Oh, you wouldn't get it. Anyway, I'd never pick a guy for seven minutes in heaven. I think you out of all people should get that."
"What's wrong with kissing your friends?" You said after getting his point.
He shrugged. "Nothing. It's just that I've already kissed them."
Your mouth dropped opened. You couldn't believe your ears. "Did you—what—I don't—"
He rolled his eyes. "Of course, we didn't. You are too gullible, it's alarming. If I told you I was selling drugs, you'd believe me, won't you?"
Irked, you turned away from him and pulled your phone out of your pocket to check the time. It was two minutes till eight in the evening.
Leaning against something hard and wooden that you thought to be a cabinet, time seemed to be ticking slow the more you tapped your fingers on your crossed arms. All you could think about were silly incantations that would magically stop the game that was still happening in the living room. Now, you were mad at yourself for not having magical powers.
"I didn't choose you because I wanted to be alone with you." Yoongi spoke after a few minutes of silence.
You raised your eyebrow. "I know."
"Look, if I chose one of them, they'll definitely tease me about it and it's going to hurt my pride." He said and took a breath before grinning widely. "Besides, shouldn't you be thrilled to be stuck in here with me? There are a lot of things we could do."
