Chapter 35

Davina's pov

The room is silent as the news sinks in, I'm pregnant. The doctor is stood by the door shifting slightly due to the awkward atmosphere and Kol is stood in shock with no emotion on his face which worries me. I clear my throat breaking the silence "are you sure?" I ask John he gives me a small smile "the witch Jenny who did the spell never makes a mistake Davina plus it explains the headaches and the sudden sickness you've been experiencing" he says "was she able to see how far along I am?" I ask "you're only a few weeks into your pregnancy so not far" he replies "how many weeks?" I ask "four weeks" he says I nod letting the information sink in "okay thank you doctor I appreciate it and give my thanks to the witch" I say giving him a smile as I eye Kol who is stood in silence.

As soon as John leaves Kol seems to snap out of his shocked faze "Kol" I say he moves round to the bed and sits at the chair beside it. "so you're pregnant" he says motionless "apparently" I say looking at my lap not wanting to see the disappointment on his face "I thought you were still using that potion" he says "I stopped using it once we got married I didn't think it mattered but obviously it does because you're not happy" I say getting off the bed and heading towards the door. I'm stopped when he gently grabs my arm "wait a second who said I wasn't happy?" he asks I close my eyes in a attempt to blink back the tears that threatened to spill "you didn't say anything but I saw it in your eyes you're not happy about it" I sniffle and suddenly I'm being turned around to face him "I'm just in shock I didn't expect this to happen but that doesn't mean I'm disappointed about it" he says taking my hands in his "I'm sorry" I say closing my eyes as tears make their way down my face "why on earth are you saying sorry?" he asks softly lifting my head by my chin with his fingers "I don't know I just feel like I've let you down" I say Kol shakes his head "no darling you could never let me down I'm in shock that you're pregnant but I'm okay with it" he says "I should've told you I wasn't using the potion anymore" I say "I don't care you stopped using it for a reason right?" he asks "yes" I say "why?" he asks "because I love you and I trust you and I knew if anything happened from that moment on that you'd never abandon me" I say he smiles "exactly I'm not going anywhere Davina I love you and I want you and I want this baby too" he says placing his forehead against mine.

"I love you too" I say giving him a light kiss on the lips "not as much as I do" Kol replies with a smile "is that a challenge on who loves each other more?" I ask "maybe" he says before bringing me into a kiss which is filled with love and passion and in that moment I knew everything will be okay no matter what came our way because nothing could take this from us.
