Making sure that she looked okay in the mirror, Viola sighed as she smoothed out her pink fit and flare mini dress paired with black wedge shoes; today she would travel to Barcelona to start her new life.
Her stuff had all been packed and there was nothing left for her to do in New York, her life was over her and it was time for her to start anew as Lionel Messi’s fiancée.
“All set?” Matías asked as he stepped into the brunette’s bedroom; he flashed her, a reassuring smile as she looked at him nervously.
Viola knew that things would change when she arrived in Barcelona, she wouldn’t be recognised as an individual but as a WAG something that she didn't see herself as.
Marley was already packed into her carry case and was prepared for the long flight to Barcelona; something that made Viola feel a little better about the move.
“Remember when we arrive in Spain… at least act like you two love each other,” Matías said as Lionel entered the room, the two looked at him before they nodded stiffly; they knew that the world wouldn’t take it well if the truth about their engagement was revealed.
“Shall we get going then… our flight leaves in three hours and we still have to get checked in,” Matías said making Viola nod as she looked around her room making sure that she had everything.
Lionel swallowed as he watched her for a moment, he knew that she was upset about leaving her life here behind but they didn't have a choice.

Standing in John F. Kennedy International Airport, Viola took a deep breath as she watched her suitcase disappear; she knew that there was no going back from here.
“You ready?” Matías asked as he made sure that he had their tickets, the brunette nodded as she felt Lionel rest a hand on her back in comfort; she glanced at him before she offered him a small smile.
“Viola…” said a voice making the brunette stiffen, she hadn’t expected him to show up after he had walked out of her mother’s apartment like this; the brunette sighed as she glanced behind her where Brent stood.
“Give me a minute,” she murmured making the two Argentine’s look at her before they nodded and moved away from her; Brent pulled Viola into a hug making Lionel frown as he watched the two of them.
“You thought that I would let you leave without saying goodbye?” Brent asked making Viola blink back tears, she couldn't believe that he had come to say goodbye to her.
Lionel watched the pair, something inside of him hurt as he saw Viola in the arms of this other man; he didn't know what it was but he didn't like it.
“I’m sorry for hurting you,” Viola said softly as she pulled back away from him slightly, Brent wiped away a couple of her stray tears before she swallowed and stepped away from him.
“It’s okay… I wish that I could have spent more time with you before this,” Brent said softly as he glanced at the two Argentine’s that were watching them; he knew that they were curious about what was happening.
“I’m going to miss you Brent…” Viola said making him nod sadly at her, she knew that she should have told him about this earlier; it would have saved them a lot of heartache now.
Matías shifted as he spotted the look on his brother’s face, it was clear that he was slightly jealous of the connection that Viola shared with the man that she was talking to you.
“If you ever need me, Lala… I’m here for you. It doesn’t matter if you marry him or not, I will always be waiting in the wings,” Brent said making Viola smile at him sadly before she gave him another hug.
Tears welling in her eyes as Matías cleared his throat in an attempt to call Viola’s attention so that they could head for the security check point.
“Don’t wait for me forever… find someone who makes you happy,” Viola said making Brent smile sadly at her as she pulled away from him, she flashed him a small smile before she took a deep breath and walked away from him.

Sitting in first class next to Lionel, Viola tried to ignore the things that were happening around her; she was still a little upset from her goodbye with Brent.
“You okay?” Lionel asked softly making Viola close her eyes, as she nodded her head at him; she didn't want to talk about Brent now, not when the pain was still raw.
The Argentine sighed as he took her hand in comfort, he knew what she was feeling right now; it didn't take much for him to guess that he was her now ex-boyfriend.
“I’m sorry,” Lionel murmured as he squeezed her hand in comfort, the brunette looked at him and flashed him a small smile before she spotted the airhostess locking the cabin door.
“It’s not your fault,” Viola said gently making Lionel nod gently, he missed the look that Matías shot the two of them; he was pleased that the two of them were getting along.
Viola gently took her hand from Lionel’s as she pulled her book out of her bag, which she had stashed between her feet; so that she didn't have to put it into the overhead lockers.
Shifting so that she was comfortable in her chair, Viola licked her lips as she started to read her book; the brunette licked her lips nervously as she felt the plane take off, she couldn't wait until the long hall flight was over.
Viola didn't remember much after that, however she felt oddly warm when she woke up, she hadn’t even realised that she had fallen asleep; she cuddled closer to the warmth as something wrapped around her to hold her close.
It was only when the soft cushion that her head was resting on made a small noise making Viola open her eyes in shock; her body was covered with a blanket that was also covering Lionel.
It was then that she realised what she was using for a cushion, swallowing as she felt Lionel hold her close; Viola slowly pulled away from him and ran a hand through her hair as she tried to tidy it slightly.
The Argentine made a small noise of discomfort as the brunette moved away from him; Viola ignored the amused look that Matías offered her from the seat across the aisle.
“You’ll have to wake him up… we’re going into land now,” Matías said making Viola look at him as she realised just how much of the seven hour flight that she had missed.
Taking a deep breath, Viola turned her attention to Lionel before she gently shook him.
“Lionel…” she said gently as the Argentine shifted over her touch; he screwed up his eyes as she shook him again.
“You have to wake up… we’re landing,” Viola said making the small Argentine open one eye and look at her, she flashed him a small smile before she turned her attention to placing her book back into her bag.
“What time is it?” Lionel asked softly as he stretched, Viola shrugged as she ran another hand through her hair to try and rid herself of bed-head.
“It’s eight o'clock in the evening, Barcelona time… back in New York it’s one in the afternoon,” Matías said making the couple look at him, Viola bit her lip to hold back a groan.
She hated jet-lag and wasn’t going to be much help when they handed, she wasn’t sure if she’d get used to the seven hour time difference.
