Viola glanced at Joseph nervously as they finished their morning show; she knew that he was a little upset that she and Lionel weren’t separating and had decided to work on their marriage even if they lived 3839 miles apart.
“So how was your weekend?” Viola asked politely, she knew that she had hurt him and hoped that it didn't affect their working relationship; the brunette licked her lips as she turned her attention to her wedding ring.
“It was fine,” Joseph said shortly before he stormed away from Viola, he couldn't believe that she had taken Lionel back after all that he had done to her; she deserved better and was only going to get hurt again.
Brushing the hair from her face, Viola pushed herself to her feet and moved to collect Thiago; Lionel had agreed to do whatever it took to make their marriage work.
“Don’t worry he’ll come around,” one of the producers said as she flashed the brunette a smile as she collected Thiago so that she could head home; she hoped that Joseph wouldn’t stay made at her for too long and that he would come around sooner or later.
It was the second of December and the brunette knew that Lionel had already arranged to travel to New York for the holidays; he wanted to be close to his wife and he was willing to do anything to make his marriage to Viola work.
Heading out of the studio, Viola smiled at the thought of heading home to call Lionel; she knew that he was six hours ahead of her and Thiago.
It had been two weeks since they started to work on their marriage and the two of them were slowly progressing with their relationship; Viola knew that Lionel wasn’t going to let her go without a fight no matter what happened between them.

Lionel grinned as he thanked the tattoo artist as he finished his work, he knew that he was being silly but he had wanted to have the tattoos done since before Thiago had been born and now he had an excuse to get it done.
The footballer glanced at the clock on the wall and smiled, he knew that Viola would be calling soon so that he could speak with her and Thiago; he missed his wife but understood why she was doing what she was doing.
After making sure that the tattoo artist had gone, Lionel moved to admire the tattoo that he had gotten in honour of Thiago; the argentine had decided to get his son’s hand prints put on the back of his left leg with the little boy’s name.
The footballer smiled as he admired the work that had been done, he licked his lips hoping that Viola didn't mind what he had done; Lionel grinned as he heard his laptop ring before he headed back into the bedroom.
“Hola,” the footballer greeted as he answered the call, he smiled as his wife’s image filled the screen; he would do anything to have her back in Barcelona with him but he knew that he had to take baby steps in getting her back.
“Hola, how was training?” Viola asked as she shifted her hold on Thiago; she smiled as she watched Lionel’s face light up at the sight of their son, the brunette tilted her head curiously as she realised that Lionel was wearing a white top paired with black shorts.
“It was good, how was work?” the footballer asked making Viola lick her lips as she looked at her husband suspiciously, she didn't know what it was but she knew that he had been up to something before she had called.
“Work was fine, Leo what is going on?” Viola asked as Thiago messed with her wedding ring, the footballer watched him with a small smile before his eyes trailed up the brunette’s arm to the small tattoo that lay on the inside of her left arm.
Viola had gotten Thiago’s date of birth tattooed onto her arm shortly after their separation; Lionel wished that he had been by her side when she had gotten it done instead of Joseph.
“I got a new tattoo,” the footballer admitted as he moved to show Viola the tattoo that he’d just had done; he swallowed as he showed his wife the tattoo.
The brunette nearly sighed in relief, when he had mentioned that he wanted to have a tattoo for Thiago done; the brunette had worried that she might never be able to have sex with her husband again.
It already freaked her out whenever she used to wake up to see the tattoo of his mother staring at her; she didn't know how she would have coped if it had been their son’s face tattooed somewhere on his body.
“It’s nice Leo,” Viola said as she shifted a fussy Thiago on her lap, since he had turned nineteen weeks old; the brunette had found him becoming more fussy and Viola wonder if it was something to with them living so far from Lionel.
Lionel smiled at her as he sat back down, he tilted his head as he watched his wife for a moment.
“How are you?” he asked concerned for her; he hated that she was pregnant so far away from him.
The brunette smiled at him as she brushed some hair from her face, she knew that he was worried about her; he hated that he couldn't help her in any way while she was pregnant.
“I’ve been good, the morning sickness has died down and the doctor says that everything looks okay,” Viola said making Lionel nod his head; he couldn't wait to be reunited with them when he travelled to New York for Christmas.
Viola licked her lips as she watched her husband, she didn't want to tell him about her doubts about them living so far apart at first she had thought it was for the best but now she missed him more than anything in the world.
“So what else have you been up to?” Viola asked as she watched him, the brunette watched as he gave her a look that meant that he knew that she was hiding something before he shifted the material of his top away from his chest slightly.
“Leo?” Viola asked as she eyed him suspiciously, she didn't know what he was up to but she wanted answers; the footballer eyes her warily before he pulled his white top over his head revealing a second new tattoo.
Viola stared at the musical note heart tattoo that lay on Lionel’s chest above his heart; the footballer stared at his wife sheepishly, he knew that she was shocked about what he had done.
“I told you… I wanted to have something of you with me and since you didn't want your face doing, I got something that represents you,” Lionel said shrugging, he said making Viola nod her head as she tried to wrap her head around what he had done for her.
Lionel eyed Viola curiously as he watched her for a moment, he could see that something was bothering her and he wanted to know what was going on.
“Viola, what’s bothering you?” Lionel asked making the brunette blink and looked at him, she swallowed as she watched him for a moment; she knew that he wasn’t going to let this go and that it would be best if she told him what she was thinking.
Lionel watched his wife concerned, he had a feeling that this was to do with the distance between them and he hoped that she would ask him again to end their marriage.
“I want to come home,” Viola said softly making Lionel blink as he stared at her, he couldn't fight the smile that formed on his face as he realised what she was saying.
