Emilia Grayson smiled sadly as she spotted her older sister walking towards her, she never thought that she would see her sister like this after her wedding; she couldn't believe that anyone thought that Viola had cheated on Lionel.
“Lala,” Emilia greeted as she moved to hug her sister and met her nephew, she couldn't believe that this had happened to her.
“Lia, this is Thiago,” Viola said as she handed her son over to her sister, the eight week old stared at his maternal aunt as if realising that apart from his mother; she was the only family that he had right now.
“Viola he’s beautiful,” Emilia cooed as she cuddled Thiago to her while her fiancé, Ryder Forbes, approached to help Viola with her bags; both of them had been appalled with how the brunette had been treated and disowned by her own parents over what had happened.
“He looks just like him,” Emilia mused as she admired her nephew, there was no denying that he looked like Lionel and she couldn't believe that he wasn’t; she had heard her sister’s story and she knew that Antonella had tampered with the tests.
“You are welcome to stay with us, Viola, our apartment’s big enough and you can stay as long as you like,” Ryder said making Emilia smile at him, she knew that he felt sorry for her sister; they had talked about what would happen when Viola came back to New York.
Viola licked her lips as she looked at her sister and her fiancé, she knew that they were being nice but she already had everything set up for her return.
“Actually, Chris and Blaine left me their apartment that overlooks central park since they live in Barcelona now,” Viola said making her sister offer her a small smile, she hoped their parents realised that they had made a big mistake in taking Lionel’s side in the divorce.
“So when is the wedding?” Viola asked as she racked her brain for any information on her sister’s engagement; the brunette felt horrible that she had been so wrapped up in her own life that she forgot about everything else.
Emilia smiled as the three started to walk out of the airport, she knew that her sister had a lot on her plate when she had been married to Lionel; but now she knew that Viola was back, she hoped her sister would be able to move on with her life.
“November the 12th,” Emilia said smiling making her sister smile; she had missed her younger sister and hoped that her marriage worked better than hers had.
“I was wondering if Thiago would be our ring bearer,” Emilia asked making her sister pause, she hadn't thought about attending her sister’s wedding since she knew her parents were there.
She knew that she wouldn’t be welcome since her mother had made it clear that they wanted nothing to do with her or Thiago.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea, I’m sure Madre and Padre wouldn’t be happy if I was there and I don’t want to distract from your big day,” Viola said as they walked towards the car.
Emilia nodded sadly as she thought about her sister’s words, she wanted her big sister at her wedding; she didn't care what their parents thought.
“I don’t care what Mum and Dad think, I want my sister and my nephew at my big day,” Emilia said making Viola sigh, she knew that this wasn’t going to end well.

The first night in her new home and Viola had found it difficult to sleep her thoughts focused again on what she had lost because of Antonella, she knew that the other woman had switched the tests; it was the only logical answer for what had happened.
The brunette sighed as she looked over at a sleeping Thiago, Chris had arranged for the apartment to be redecorated for her; he had wanted the best for his godson and he was going to make sure that Viola and him had everything that they needed.
The brunette shook her head annoyed that Antonella had done this to her, she couldn't believe that the other woman had destroyed her life just so that she could have Lionel.
Viola wasn’t stupid, she had known the moment she’d been kicked out that Antonella would worm her way back in.
Thiago whimpered snapping his mother out of her bitter thoughts, she knew that she was mad right now and she had every right to be; she wasn’t sure if she’d forgive Lionel when he realised that Antonella has tricked him.
Viola snorted as she picked up her son, she knew that if Lionel ever realised that he had been tricked and apologised to her after setting things right then she’d take him back in a heartbeat.
The brunette sat down in the rocking chair and held Thiago close, she looked out at the window again knowing that this was her life now and she needed to get used to it; there was no going back now that she had walked away from Barcelona.

Viola groaned as she woke up the next morning, rolling over she looked at the clock wondering who could be calling her at this hour of the morning; the brunette licked her lips as she reached for the phone.
“Hello?” Viola asked as she sat up and ran a hand through her hair, Blaine had told her that he had put in a word with his agent in New York but she hadn't expected him to call her.
“Viola, it’s Damien… Blaine said that you were looking for some work and I think I may have found you something,” the agent said making the brunette furrow her brow.
She had been a dance teacher before she had married and had hoped to go back into that line of work however she had done some television work when she was in high school.
“I sent a couple of networks’ your CV and some of your headshots, one called me back this morning interested in offering you a job,” Damien said making the brunette nod her head, she licked her lips hopefully at the thought of starting a fresh.
She couldn't sulk around anymore and she knew that this could be the new start that she was looking for.
“They want you as their new female lead anchor on their morning show,” Damien said making Viola nearly drop her phone, she hadn't expected the job to be that important; she had wanted to work her way up, the brunette hadn't expected to be offered such a large role.
“They want me as their lead female anchor,” Viola said as she checked to make sure that she had heard him right, she didn't know why they would want to hire her since she had no prior experience in working as a journalist.
“Yes, they liked your look and want to see you first thing Monday morning… they don’t mind that you’re a mother either,” Damien said making Viola close her eyes, she needed a new start and she knew this; she wasn’t the woman that had left New York over a year ago.
Taking a deep breathe, Viola closed her eyes knowing that this was her chance for a new start.
“Tell them that I will see them Monday,” the brunette said as she made her decision; she knew that Damien was thrilled that he had succeeded in winning the brunette round.
Disconnecting the call, Viola lay back in bed as she allowed the news that she had succeeded in finding a job sink in; she smiled after a few moments knowing that this was her chance.
