Stephanie remembered the first time it happened. It was during college. It was a late night or early morning depending how you looked at it. Stephanie was watching a movie with some friends in one of the dorm lounges. Stephanie was sprawled out on one of the couches when Matthew came in. He was a mess. His hair was sticking up in all directions. His clothes that were usually neat were now sloppy. His eyes were red either because he had rubbed them to the point that he irritated them or that he had been crying. Stephanie had a feeling that he had done both. He wordlessly walked over to Stephanie.

"Matthew are you okay?" She asked quietly.

He shook his head and flopped down on top of her. She was frozen as Matthew her boyfriend for only a few weeks wrapped his arms around her stomach and fell asleep. His face was buried into her shoulder. His breathing was deep and even. He was heavier than she anticipated. She felt as though she was being crushed under his weight. At the same time it felt safe and comforting. His warmth radiated through her. She felt her body relax under his. She didn't realize that she tensed up. After a few minutes of staring at Matthew in shock she turned her attention back the movie. She absentmindedly started running her fingers through his hair. She heard him sigh happily. Stephanie looked down at her sleeping boyfriend to see the smallest of smiles on his face. She thought this was a one time thing. She didn't expect to become a human sized teddy bear or to have a human blanket. However, she was proven otherwise.

It always seemed to happen when Matthew was stressed. He would come find her and wordlessly become her human blanket. His face buried in her neck or shoulder as he cuddled into her. She wrapped an arm around him and with her free hand played with his hair. These moments were never discussed. However, they were some of her favorite memories. They would lay like this for hours enjoying each others presence. Either that or they were sleeping.

They haven't been able to do this since she got pregnant. She had missed it and she could tell Matthew had too. He was sleeping restlessly next to her. She on the other hand couldn't sleep at all. She did her best to calm her husband by running fingers through his hair. He relaxed under her touch. She was reminded why she loved him. He was gentil, kind, and smart. They were married and having a family together. The thought was enough to bring her to tears. One day she soon she would be able to have her little baby. Matthew along with herself could show their child the world. She was excited. Someday soon.

Someday soon she would be able to have her husband be a human blanket with their child asleep in a crib by their side. That thought was enough to make her cry happy tears and fall into a peaceful sleep.

Hello everyone! I hope you liked this update. I had this idea for a while now.  Anyway I have to go. Bye! ~Gem
