Elizabeth's POV.
Alec dragged me through the institute to the library. "He can't know you're here do you understand?" He demanded forcing me into a chair. "I need to contact the Edinburgh institute and tell them that you are here since I'm presuming that you left without permission." He sighed. "You are in so much trouble. You can't just run away from your institute."
"That's actually quite impossible since I don't have an institute to run away from." I laughed dryly. He stared at me disapprovingly shaking his head.
"You are so much like your brother." He said again. I rolled my eyes. "So wanna tell me why you left?" He asked. I shook my head. "I can't help you if you won't speak to me."
"Fine." I sighed and begrudgingly told him what had happened. By the time I had finished he was holding back laughter. I gave him a death stare.
"Let me get this straight, you ran away because you had a fight with your boy?" He asked incredulously.
"Firstly, way to make me sound like every teen girl in every teen movie ever." I rolled my eyes in disgust. "Secondly, he's not my boy. Thirdly no, it wasn't because of our fight, I wanted to see my brother."
"Tough. You can't. You are to stay here until I call the Clave. " He went to leave. "Stay here!" He left the library. I sighed, thinking about how much of a disaster this 'trip' really was.

Alec's POV
I left the girl in the library and was shocked when a boy all but fell out of a portal onto the floor. Jace chose that moment to venture out from his room to find out whether I was back, he had impeccable timing as always.
"What are you doing here?" Jace bristled. Anger heating his eyes. The boy looked Jace up and down looking as equally angry.
"Where is she?" He asked turning to face me ignoring Jace completely.
"Where's who?" Jace spun on me.
"She is here isn't she? Lola said she was heading here. She portalled her to central park. She did make it here didn't she?" His face paled, worry cutting through his otherwise calm demeanour.
"Yes she's here. She's in the library. " I sighed, regretting the day I was born. There was far too much chaos and far too many rules being broken. I had not one but two runaways to deal with and had to explain to Jace why his sister was here.
"I'm going to throttle her when I get my hands on her." The boy whispered under his breath following me to the library. Jace was tailing us angrily. I pushed open the door and went in.

Elizabeth's POV
The door opened and I jumped up in shock. Joe stood in the doorway. "Elizabeth Seraphina Wayland you are in so much trouble! You scared me half to death!" He said frowning but his voice was filled with relief. I was so happy to see him. I ran into his arms and he hugged me tightly.
"I'm so sorry. I was stupid and reckless and irresponsible and all the other things you yell at me for." I said into his chest. He laughed and pulled away dropping a kiss to the top of my head.
"Finally you admit it. Are you okay?" He asked running his hands up over my arms and then shoulders and then my cheekbones checking for breaks.
"I'm fine, quit fussing. " I said grinning. He smiled pulling me into a hug again.
------
Jace's POV
He pulled away and ran his hands over my little sister. I looked away in disgust. She hadn't even noticed I was here, all she cared about was that boy. I stood arms crossed over my chest, glaring at the pair of them.
