Elizabeth's POV
He slammed his lips onto mine and pushed me back into the door, my back hitting the wood violently, which would have hurt in other circumstances. Immediately, I kissed him back matching his pressure and intensity with my own. Taking the lead I deepened the kiss while he snaked his hands down my waist to the backs of my thighs where he gripped and lifted me. With my legs wrapped around his waist, I was entirely at his mercy which he took advantage of, trailing kisses down my neck and then up again up to my ear.
"Forgive me?" He whispered in my ear placing a kiss just below it, sending shivers down my spine. Completely lost to his kisses, I was unable to find any words to reply and so after a few seconds of silence, he kissed his way back down my neck, then recaptured my lips. He removed his hands from my thighs, leaving me precariously balanced on his hips and sandwiched against the wooden door and wrapped them round my waist again tracing circles on my back with his fingers.  He pulled away again giving me chance to breathe. He leant his forehead against mine and whispered, "Am I forgiven yet?" I was too happy and entranced to remember what I had to forgive him for so I simply nodded leaning into his arms wrapping mine around his neck. "Good." He smiled like he was pleased with himself and pressed his lips softly to mine, letting our kiss slip from forceful to sweet. He ran his tongue along my bottom lip asking for entry which I granted to him. Our kiss was soft and gentle, full of our love for each other, full of all our unsaid words and emotions. I felt like the most important thing to him in that moment. He made me feel so loved. He chased away all of the worries and fears that preoccupied my brain and replaced them with happiness and hope for the future. Through the daze of our kisses, I registered the sound of knocking. I pulled away slightly uncomfortable with the noise that was so close to my ear. With the fog clearing my brain I realised that I was still pressed against the door and that the knocking was someone knocking on said door. Duh.
"Beth, Mr Fellowbe is here to speak to you and Joe, he says it's important." I heard Izzy call through the thick door.
"Give us a minute Iz and we'll be straight there." I called back my voice sounding thick.
"Alright, he's in the library." She said and then I heard her heals click away.
"We don't have to go Liza, we could just stay here, pretend he isn't here." Joe groaned into my neck, which tickled a little.
"You know we can't do that Joe, you know that." I pushed his head from my neck so I could think. "Also I'm still mad."
"What? You said you'd forgiven me." He pulled away and gave me a little space between the two of us.
"Because you were kissing me. It wouldn't be admissible in court so it doesn't count." I unwrapped my legs from his waist and let my feet drop to the floor. I kissed him one last time and walked over to my dressing table.

Joe's POV
I watched as she walked over to the dressing table. She had put up those walls of hers the moment she had heard the name Mr Fellowbe. She had been so herself just seconds before in my arms. Looking back over to her she was applying a ruby red lipstick over her kiss bruised lips. She smiled slightly when she saw me watching.
"What do you think Fellowbe is here for?" She asked lightly now running a brush through her golden curls.
"Angels knows! Probably to give us more bad news."
She grimaced and sighed. "It can't get any worse Joe." She stood up and walked over to me taking my hand. "Let's go face the music."
Once we arrived outside the library, we heard talking and decided to wait outside. I watched as Liza rolled her shoulders and straighten her posture before plastering a very fake smile on her face.
"It's going to be okay, Libby." I tried to reassure her, she turned and glared at me.
"The only reason he comes to visit is when one of us usually me, has done something wrong. So forgive me for being a little nervous."
"Well neither of us has done anything wrong as of late so relax."
"Joe, I can't relax, what if he's here to take you away or to tell me that they're sending me away too?" A worried shadow passed over her blue eyes for a second before the door was opened and we were ushered into the room.
"Mr Fellowbe, to what do we owe this pleasure?" Liza greeted him in the most fake cheerful voice I have ever heard her use. "Mrs Lightwood, how are you? Thank you so much for letting us stay."
"It is nice to see that you are conscious for once Miss Wayland." He smiled back and Liza rolled her eyes. "Please sit." So we sat. "I am here to tell you that Margaret is willing to take Joe back on."

Elizabeth's POV
"Brilliant!" I said sarcastically through gritted teeth.
"I believe that everything will be put in place for yourself Joseph, by the end of this month and as for you Miss Wayland, Mrs Lightwood has applied for you to become her ward with the clave so you may remain here, I see that being accepted." I relaxed somewhat at that, knowing that I know wouldn't lose Jace as well as Joe. "That is, if you continue to behave and prove yourself as a useful member of this institute."
"Yes sir." I vowed to myself that this was going to be my last institute, I was going to make this my home.
"Good girl. Now I must go. I will arrive on the 30th to take Joseph to Edinburgh. Miss Wayland, I believe this may be our last meeting together, I'd just like to say that the pair of you have made my job quite interesting over the years and that it has been a delight to have known you. I wish you all the best in this next phase of your life, and remember don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything in the future." With that he got up and patted me on the shoulder before leaving.
"Thank you Mrs Lightwood for taking me on." I told her a small sad smile lingering on my face.
"Please it's Maryse and it is the least I could do to help you out. I'm just sorry that I couldn't take Joe on as well." She nodded sadly. "I have been looking into every option to stop you from being separated short of you two getting married or becoming parabatai there is nothing I can do."
"It's okay Maryse, you've done so much already." I reassured her.  "We'll get through this. We've been through worse."
"Okay, welcome to the Lightwood family then." She smiled and squeezed my shoulder and left too leaving Joe and I alone in the room. I sighed a huge sigh of relief as she left, I could stop pretending to be alright now. I looked over at Joe in desperation. He held his hand out to me, taking it he pulled me down to sit on his lap.
"It's okay love." He tried to comfort me rubbing soothing circles on my back.
"It's not! Everything is going wrong in my life." I sobbed into his chest suddenly over come with emotions.
"Ohh love. This is just a change of plans not a disaster. At least I know that you will be here indefinitely. It's only till I turn eighteen any way. I'm turning seventeen in a few months and after that it's just a year. That's not that long and we can write and call each other. I'm sure Magnus won't begrudge you a portal to come visit me." He whispered to me. "I'm sure he'll except payment in the form of glitter." He joked but it just made me cry harder.
"We were supposed to have a full month to spend together and now we only have a few weeks and I can't do half the things on our list because I'm a danger to myself." I looked up at him. "I'm sorry. This is all my fault." He shook his head and I saw his own tears threatening to fall in his beautiful grey eyes.
"None of this is your fault. Remember that. We will get through this. Have faith Elizabeth. It will be difficult at first but it's going to get easier, remember that." He looked me in the eyes. "I love you more than I can put into words and not even being halfway round the world will change that." He pressed a kiss to my forehead.
"I love you too." I whispered and leant against his chest. It was then in the silence of the room that I noticed the sudden pain in the back of my head, like a wave of pain over my head. I ignored the pain, I put it down to dehydration, I hadn't drank anything for hours and relaxed against Joe. After a few minutes of him rubbing my back I felt myself beginning to drift off although I didn't feel very sleepy at all considering my nap earlier but I felt myself falling into sleeps embrace all the same, held right against Joe's firm, warm body.
