Mikes POV:
Ok ok ok she was walking over to the others. Nooo I wanted her all to myself. She was MINE and I didn't want to have to share her with anyone. I swam quickly behind her and kissed that bit where her neck and shoulder meet that drove her crazy. She hummed and turned to face me. God she was so hot.
Els POV:
God he was so hot. He kissed the place between my shoulder and my neck that I loved and it just made me want to stop time and stay here forever. I needed him to be close to me all the time. I tried to do the healthy thing and leave him every once in a while but I just couldn't, not now that he has changed anyway. He has changed a lot over the past few years but this was the quickest so far. But I liked it. Like, a lot. He looked down at me, his eyes dark as he smirked the hottest lopsided smirk you could ever imagine. I've never been so compelled to kiss him in my life. It was weird, I had never thought of him as hot before, he's always been the cute goofball I had a crush on, now he was the hot, sweet, protective boy I loved. I hugged him close and began to cry softly and silently. I wasn't sad, I was just thankful.
"Hey hey hey," mike said, "keep your chin up princess, your crown is falling," he said softly, gently lifting my chin and wiping my tears. "Why are you crying baby?" He asked looking concerned as he stared into my eyes comfortingly. God I love him so much.
"I'm just so lucky to have you. I'm just so thankful to be able to be with someone like you. Your just so..." I struggled to find the word. "Perfect!" I finished, snuggling into him as he wrapped his arms around me and rested his chin on my head. "I love you," I mumbled into his chest.
"I love you too gorgeous," He said. I never wanted to leave this moment but as if sent by the devil himself, will came up. I knew he was here before I heard him, I felt mikes breath speed up and wrap his arms tighter around me. He was super jealous of Will for no reason whatsoever but it was kinda cute how protective he was.
"Hey el," he said. I didn't move.
"Hm?" I hummed closing my eyes and snuggling deeper into mikes chest. I felt him smile and hug me tight.
"Can I talk to you a sec please?" He asked cheerily. I didn't want to be the kind of girl who ditched her best friend for her boyfriend so I said yes and followed him away from a scowling mike who went to the others.
"So I just want to know; are you and mike... you know, dating yet?" He asked nervously. I loved how he said yet. I shook my head and he loosened up a bit.
"Oh ok, just checking," he said, grinning the goofy lopsided grin he does. He put his arm around me like he does and smiled. I smiled back up at him, knowing mike would get jealous of nothing. It was kinda cute when he got all protective and jealous because I honestly think of will as my brother and he thinks of me as a sister and nothing more. We walked and talked about nothing as we made our way over to the rest of the group. Mike looked flustered. What was going on?
Mikes POV:
What the fuck was she doing? Like what the ACTUAL fuck was she doing? Max was 110% flirting with me and I didn't like it. She kept checking me out and touching me and being more flirtatious than she was with Lucas. Like Jesus hot damn she was doing it right in front of him. Does this bitch have no shame? Lucas did NOT look happy. What was he doing? If someone flirts with el i feel like ripping their throats out. If she was my girlfriend I would stab a dude if they even touched my el.(Minus hopper and Dustin and Lucas.) if el flirted with anyone like this I would no joke kill myself. He needs to up his game.
"Uh do you mind?" I asked dismissively as she jumped on my back.
"Nope!" She replied with a grin, shortly followed by a grimace. What the actual fuck was she playing at?
"Uh max can we talk?" Lucas asked through gritted teeth, shortly followed by Dustin who gave me a knowing look. I turned witha sigh and saw el and Will staring about a foot away from us. Oh fuck.
"Jesus what the hell is up with max?" Will asked. Even they noticed. El did NOT look happy. At all. I pulled her close and away from will. He looked a bit downcast. Ha.
"Awww you jealous baby?" I asked el
sarcastically, smiling my head off, absolutely loving this.
"Mine." She muttered and kissed me just to prove it. Will looked uncomfortable.
"Hey will sorry man," I said with a wink, not sorry at all, putting my arm protectively around my girl. He smiled again.
"So'kay," He said returning to the others and leaving us alone.
"Love you," I said to El who still looked jealous as fuckkkk.
"Hm." She muttered.
"I wuv youuuuu!" I repeated in a baby voice.
"Hm." She repeated.
"IIIIIIII WUVVVV YOOUUUUU!!!" I said leaning down and kissing her forehead.
"Hm." She said, yet again. I was gonna have to up my game a bit.
"Mmkay then," I said, turning to leave. I spun back around as quick as I could and whipped her off of her feet and into my arms.
"El," i muttered. She looked deep into my eyes as she melted into my chest.
"Yeah?" She whispered, her lips parting slightly as she leaned up.
"I love you," I said with a smirk and a slight growl to my voice that drives her nuts.
"I love you too," she said immediately. So I know which side of me el likes! I leaned down and kissed her softly. It was actual torture for me and it was me doing it.
Els POV:
Does this dude want me to kill myself? He was doing that wolf-mike thing he does that makes me want to just make out with him forever. He had me in his arms as he stared deep into my eyes, mesmerising me.
"I love you," he growled softly. Oh my godddddd. If hopper knew what I was thinking right now he would never let me anywhere mike ever again. I leaned forward, my lips parted, wanting, needing this kiss. He did a little half grin thing before leaning down and kissing me so unbelievably lightly it was unreal. Two can play at that game. Ohhhhhhhhh Micheal wheeler.... it is on.
Mikes POV:
Ok fuck it. I couldn't keep teasing her because it was killing me. I leaned down to kiss her but at that same moment she jumped from my arms and onto wills back. He turned around in shock before a smile grew on his face. He hugged El and kept his arm around her. I wanted to break his spine but of course didn't. I wanted el back in my arms.
"Uh el?" I called over to her. She looked back, her perfect smile on her lips.
"Yeah?" She replied.
"Imma go get clothes, come with?" I asked, preying for an excuse to be alone so I could kiss her.
"Nah thanks but get me some too pleaseeeee??" She asked sweetly. Yeah like if I could refuse that. For fucks sake.
"Mhm" I mumbled and went to fetch the clothes. I got my shorts and a random shirt and got el my huge Adidas hoodie she loves to steal. I also got her some Reeses pieces to try and lure her away with food. It would DEFINITELY work on me. Hopefully since everyone is still in the water I can get her out and be alone. Hopefully. I jogged back to the cliff face with the clothes and decided to take a shortcut by climbing up this cliff instead of going around. It was actually quite easy, that was until I sliced my leg on a rock. shit it was quite deep. Ok so I now have food, huge sweater and blooded up mike in my favour. I hauled myself up and walked down to the dam. Oh fucking hell. You have GOT to be joking me.
