Genji and Angela sat together on a bench, Angela had her head on Genji's shoulder, while he licked ice cream and looked over the scenery. Behind and in front was a large, open green field. On the horizon were distant mountains, snow capping the tops. It smelt cold, though Genji had a hard time to use that sense; he had trouble with feeling the cold attack his face, or smelling the mist settling.

Genji wore a red wool sweater, trying to not attract too much attention to himself, his mask was right besides him on the bench. A pleasant breeze flew by, a path and green grass surrounded the two. They were peaceful, but no doubt in anyone's mind that their guard was up. They hadn't relaxed since the blast. Who could?

Genji inhaled deeply. He was silent, enjoying the company of Angela, it wasn't everyday you had an off day.

Genji inhaled deeply, having eaten all his ice cream, he put on his mask and leaned back onto the bench.

A woman walked by, pushing a stroller with two toddlers inside. She looked over, narrow blue eyes that were judgmental.

"Disgusting filth." She stopped her stroller in front of the bench. Genji looked at her through the mask. "Excuse me?" He said sternly. "I said, Disgusting, omnic filth. Shouldn't you be slaving somewhere?"

Angela blinked her eyes open, half asleep. "Genji?" She mumbled, and looked at the scowling woman. Genji growled, clenching his fist. "Pardon me, mistress. I am no omnic. Even if I was, that is no way to talk to someone!" Genji snapped. The woman scoffed. "Is this that new religion thing? Omnics saying their humans? Pathetic."

Genji stood up, towering over the petite lady. He ripped off his mask, anger burning in his eyes. His hideous, yet handsome face was scowling back, down at the woman. She gasped.

"You're Genji Shimada!" She took a step back. Genji growled, "that doesn't matter."

She started trembling. "You're hideous."

Genji blinked, and huffed, ignoring the insult. "Talk to omnics like that ever, I will personally see to it." He threatened. The petite woman nodded rapidly, and pushed her stroller away quickly.

Angela stood up and clung to Genji's arm, watching her leave. "Don't listen to her, Genji-"

Genji turned to her. "Can we go home?" He asked weakly, his head tilted towards the cobblestone path. Angela nodded, and twined their fingers. "You're beautiful the way you are. Don't let her words infect you. I love you." She said gently, putting a hand on his chest.

Genji looked up at her from the ground. He tugged her closer and hugged her tightly. Angela smiled sweetly, setting her cheek on his metallic chest.

"Are you crying?"

Genji sniffled, which was muffled by his mask. "Of course not." He pulled back, his hands were on Angela's hips. "I'm half robot, I-I can't produce such...pathetic emotions." Genji started to give a weak laugh, moving his shoulders with it. "Let's go home." Angela whispered, and Genji nodded. The two held hands, walking towards base.

"How long have they been gone?" Lucio asked, and McCree flicked his hat up. "Four hours." He replied. "What are they doing?" Lucio looked at McCree. "A training session." McCree narrowed his eyes.

"Do you think they...again?" He said weakly. McCree looked over, "no. I highly doubt it." McCree stood up from leaning on the wall.

The two were leaning on opposite sides of the main door, staring out at the main gate.

"-And so I was thinking of having you take some pills everyday-" Angela was saying while Genji entered the code to the front of the boundary. Outside of the huge HQ, was a cement wall with metal spikes on the top. They were still holding hands. As they walked in, they froze, looking at the scowling McCree and concerned looking Lucio. They immediately dropped their hands.

Lucio ran forwards, jumping onto Genji and wrapping his arms around his neck. "I was so scared! The hell were you all doing?"

Genji put a hand on his back, Lucio was still clinging to him. "Sorry. The walk got longer than we expected." Genji replied. "Walk?" Lucio asked, and let go. "Yes. To train me too walk."

Angela nodded eagerly. "In two days, he will join you for a test mission." She smiled. Genji nodded also, "I keep telling her I can handle a Talon mission, but no, 'you're too weak, Genji! No way can you handle a mission as such!'" Genji said in a squeaky voice, put his hand up in a gay manner. Angela giggled, slapping his arms, Genji laughed too.

McCree approached them slowly, his thumbs were dug into his belt. "Y'all gave us a scare." He huffed. "Sorry, Jesse." Genji bowed his head. "And y'all were holding hands." He nodded his head to Genji's right hand. Angela blushed.

"No. We weren't." Genji replied sternly. McCree smirked. "Whatever you say partner, c'mon, y'all missed dinner." McCree started to walk up to the house. Genji and Angela gave each other a weary look, and followed him inside.

Winston was reading a book and eating a peanut butter sandwich on the couch, obviously very into his novel. He wore a sweater.

Genji plopped onto the couch, cross legged and stared at the tv, playing Dancing with the stars. This caught his attention. "What if I danced?" He mumbled to himself, staring at the screen. "Thats an interesting hobby, Genji." Winston said. Genji looked over, startled. "I-I suppose, Winston." Genji inhaled deeply, leaning back.

"Hungry?" Winston asked. "Dinner was made an hour ago." He gestured to the kitchen, where Angela was grabbing two plates. "I'll get your plate ready, Genji."

"Oh, no need, Angela. I'm not hungry." Genji shook his hand after raising it, shaking his head. "Well I don't care. You need food. You didn't eat breakfast."

Genji blinked, remembering how he put his food tray under his bed when he thought Angela was looking away. "Oops." Genji said to himself and sighed, jumping from the couch to the ledge to the kitchen.

"Here." Angela handed over a plate, and Genji took it. "Thank you," he said and started to walk away. "Where are you going?" Angela asked, raising an eyebrow. "To my room."

"Too..?"

"To eat."

"Why?" Angela leaned on the counter with her arms. Genji was hesitant, "because...of my...face." He said rather quietly, but the room still managed to hear it. Angela furrowed her eyebrows, "no one here judges you for your scars. Everyone here thinks you're so, so brave. Those scars prove it." Angela walked up to him and put her hands on the sides of his mask. Genji slowly rose one of his metallic hands to touch hers. He was cold to the touch.

A silent sob.

Angela hugged him tightly, and Genji buried his head into the crook of her neck, her feet were off the ground from him hugging her.

McCree slowly walked towards them, a frown on his face. He took off his hat, holding it too his chest. "Genji, ya don't need to feel bad for yer looks. They ain't yer fault." He said quietly, weakly.

Angela removed his mask, and held his face. "You're awesomely handsome." She smiled sweetly. "Scars or not, you are so brave, awesome, handsome, unique and everyone here is so jealous of how much story your body tells." Angela had their faces so close, their noses almost touched. Genji was slightly bent over, the two staring into each other's eyes. The doctor ruffled his hair, smiling, "now eat here, with your family." Angela patted a seat near the island. Genji sat down, wiping away tears. McCree patted his shoulder, "stop bein' a baby, Genji. You're the best darn looking man here." He chuckled, only to get playfully punched by Genji. "Shut up, cowboy." Genji playfully pushed him and picked up his fork, and sat his plate down.

"Now eat." Angela sat next to him, and started to dig into her own plate. Genji inhaled deeply. "Thank you." He said. "Thank you for being my family."
