Genji didn't sleep that night.

So much information to process. So many emotions to analyze. How did he feel? Vanessa tried to kill the love of his life, yet, Vanessa was...Genji rolled over in his bed, his mask was off. His eyes were wide, searching through the darkness.

In the morning, Genji was back to searching, swiping left and right, his eyes narrowed as he read the floating words.

A small knock came from the metal door to his room. "Genji? Can I come in?" It was Angela, her voice was soft. Genji panicked, "one second, hon!" He hopped up and grabbed the device, and stuffed it under his mattress, and went to the door. As he opened it, Angela stood on the other side with a tray of food in her hands. "Since you missed breakfast, I thought I might as well give you this." She thrusts it forwards.

Genji smiled, "thank you, Angela." He leaned and kissed her cheek. "Come in, come in." He ushered her in and set the tray on his desk, closing the door. Angela sat on her bed. "I will check up on your body later today." She declared. Genji panicked. "A-about That, there's no need, I lied." He sighed, feeling good to get it off his chest. Angela's eyebrows furrowed, "what do you mean?"

"I didn't break down." Genji sat next to Angela. Her frown deepened. "Then..what happened?"

Genji was hesitant to answer. "I saw talons hacker, Sombra. Chased after her and she disabled my com, I believe." Genji sighed. Angela's eyes widened. "Oh god, Genji, why didn't you tell me sooner?" Her voice was pure concern. Genji felt his heart sting, but something in his mind told him to keep quiet about what Sombra gave him.

"I..I didn't want to concern you." He said and took her hands. "Thats the last thing I want to do, make you worry about me when there are others much more in need." Genji brought her closer. Angela laughed weakly, and kissed Genji's forehead. "The first thing I'll do will worry about you, especially when you don't want me too."

Genji sighed, and pulled her in, hugging Angela. She smiled, snuggling into his chest. Genji laid down, wrapping his arms around her. "Are you gonna fall asleep?" Angela asked. "With you in my arms, how can I not?"

Angela hummed, relaxing on top of Genji.

"Genji, I got a few questions about last mis-...on." McCree went from opening the door and staring at a digital tablet, to looking up with his jaw agape, and his eyes wide. "Genji. A-And Angela." He stuttered, pointing a shaky finger at them. "Well hell, now! Genji! Holy fuck! We gotta celebrate this shit!" McCree gripped his hair, his hat falling off. Genji and Angela blushed, looking at each other they laughed nervously. "McCree, get your ass in here and close the door." Genji started to get up, and Angela got off of him.

McCree did as he was told, practically jumping up and down as a big, goofy smile covered his face. "Keep your mouth shut about this, please, McCree." Genji formed his hands together, looking at Jesse. "Aw, fine! I need some Gossip though. Office is gettin' borin." He rolled his eyes. "But congrats guys! This is great!" His eyes lit up.

Genji and Angela gave a light laugh. "Thank you, Jesse." Angela smiled sweetly towards him.

Genji stood up. "McCree, please, stay quiet."

"What? Do you not trust me that much?" He scoffed, pretending to be offended as he put a hand to his chest. "My good sir!" He exclaimed. Genji chuckled, "shut up, McCree. Now go away." Genji started to push him towards the door. "Hold yer horses partner. Before I leave so y'all can make out, I have a few questions." Jesse said, getting out the device from earlier.

"Well, mainly one. But that's besides the point." McCree moved his hand in action while speaking. "The stupid ol' detectors detected some new stuff commin into the building. Jack asked me to keep an eye out and I've been goin' round and checkin' with everyone. Y'all notice any new devices come in? Jack says it's something to do with information— more of the device has information on it; now don't ask me how Jack knows that."

Genji froze up. He glanced nervously at Angela, who helplessly shrugged. "Yeah...I..did bring something in." Genji said hesitantly. "You can't tell anyone. It is so hugely important." Genji put his hands together. McCree rose an eyebrow. "Jack will probably...have to confiscate it. If he knows."

Genji let out a breath and hugged Jesse. "You are the best cowman. Thank you!" Genji exclaimed. McCree patted his back, "no problem, partner. I'll be goin', y'know, continuing the search." McCree pulled back and winked at the two, leaving them alone.

Genji heard the door close with a click. He turned to Angela, who had her arms folded and was staring at Genji. "Want to share what you found, Genji?" She said, tilting her head to the side. Genji hated it when she did this.

He sighed, and lifted the corner of his mattress. "Here." He handed the device over. Angela looked at it with interest, and grabbed it, the device immediately opened up and revealed the large screen, Angela dropped it, startled and gasping. Genji was quick to catch it a hand away from the floor. "Careful, darling." He gripped it, staring at the image shown. He extended his hand, moving it around. Angela peered at it and gasped again.

"Who..gave you this?" Her eyes travelled to Genji's; their eyes did not meet. "Sombra." He said after a quiet moment. She looked at the floor. "And what is inside it?"

"Information about Vanessa." Genji's mouth suddenly felt dry. Angela stood up, her eyes wide. "What?!" She exclaimed, her breathing got heavier. Genji grabbed hold of her, as she looked like she was going to pass out.

"Honey, n-no, what? Why would she give you..?"

"She hates Vanessa, at least that's what she told me." Genji sighed. "I don't expect you to understand but...I've learned a lot about her." His voice got sadder. "Don't tell me.."

"I can't help it, Angela." He looked into her eyes, and the doctor closed hers, pulling away from Genji and holding her arms up, grabbing her own biceps tightly. "You're kidding me. No, your heart is too kind. How can you feel pity for a woman who almost MURDERED YOU?!" She yelled, her body shaking. The room then went silent, all except for her heavy, rigorous breathing.

She dropped to her knees, hugging herself as she started crying. "She almost took you from me before I realized I loved you." Angela sobbed quietly to herself, her forehead gently touching the floor. Genji dropped down with her, staring at her with a frown.

"Angela, I hate how I feel too. But I can't stop that, and if I've learned anything from...almost dying twice..if the pain has taught me anything; do not hesitate." He said sternly. "Hesitation will lead to destruction. Hesitation makes you miss open windows. I do not plan on missing this window. My love, I do not ask you to understand, I simply ask you to trust me." He said with compassion, putting one hand to his chest and the other to Angela's chin, gently rising her face to meet his eyes. "Do you trust me?"

Angela took a moment before saying, "yes, yes I do." She sat up and scooted forwards, kissing Genji on the lips. "Don't leave again. Okay?"

"Okay, my love."
