Neal's P.O.V.

He ruined it. He ruined everything.

Kian Lawley had ruined my plan.

I was going to get Kyndell tonight, not kill her, just a little warning, but Kian had blocked my shot.

It's not like I wouldn't have gladly shot one

"Astrid! Joanna! Sidney! Come!" I yelled into the cellar.

The three young girls ran inside the room without delay. They all looked scared, even Sidney, who usually defied my orders. I guess I finally broke her. My smile only seemed to make them shake harder.

"I have a job for you."

Kyndell's P.O.V.

When Kian had explained everything, fear replaced the anger in Sam's eyes. "How is he trailing us?" Ricky asked, not sounding like Ricky at all.

"I don't know! All I know is that he was watching us, and probably still is!" Kian yelled, panic creeping into his tone.

"Where are we going?" Jc asked, staring at Katheraine.

"To the airport. There is NO way I'm going any farther with you people!" Katheraine demanded, glaring at Jc.

"No, we need to get somewhere safe!" Sam argued, pulling me even closer to him.

"We need to go to the police!" Ricky said from the passenger seat.

I stayed silent, watching everyone fall apart. Jc was begging Katheraine not to leave him, Katheraine was yelling at him, Sam was shaking and I could feel his heart beating way too fast, Ricky was asking Kian question after question.

Kian.

Kian looked like he was about to break down, which wasn't a good idea since he was driving. His tan hands were bone white, clenching his hands around the wheel.

If we kept arguing, we weren't going to get anywhere. Kian caught my eye in the rearview mirror and he seemed to be thinking the same thing.

"Guys." I spoke. No one turned.

"Guys." I said a little louder. Sam noticed, but no one else heard.

"Guys!" I yelled finally reaching my limit. Every eye focused on me, surprised. "We aren't going to solve anything arguing! We have to act civilized and figure out what exactly we are going to do!" I ranted, pulling away from Sam.

"So, what exactly do you suppose we do?" Katheraine snapped.

"I think we should go to the airport first and drop you off, then the rest of us should go somewhere private and talk about what to do next." I declared, watching Kian's reaction.

Everyone briefly looked at each other, nodding. "We don't have another plan." Kian said, almost breaking a smile. Almost. "Ricky, look up the closest airport." Kian said from the wheel.

Everyone quieted down, thinking about their own problems. Sam looked exhausted and stressed, so I pulled my headphones on and guided his head onto my lap. He sighed and closed his eyes, allowing me to run my fingers through his hair.

The song Paradise by Coldplay came on and I closed my eyes, loosing myself in the melody.

Kian's P.O.V.

Everyone had been asleep for a while now, so when I heard a hum come from the backseat, my head snapped up.

Kyndell was the source of the noise. She had her head leaned back, eyes closed, and her earbuds in. I couldn't tell if she was awake or not. She looked so peaceful.

I focused my hearing and could hear her better. The song was slow, yet sweet. I didn't recognize the tune, but it was oddly relaxing.

We had been driving for hours and the airport was only about ten minutes away. After the call my brain was paranoid, so I kept looking behind the van, making sure we weren't being followed. Maybe paranoia wasn't such a bad thing after all.

My eyes were starting to sag, but I somehow managed to find the airport.

I pulled the van into the parking lot and yelled back at everyone. "Wake up! We are here!" Slowly, they all got up and stretched.

"Kyndell, I don't think it's such a good idea for you to go inside." I said. Kyndell nodded and shrank back into the seat.

I wasn't surprised at all when Sam stayed back with Kyndell. He was a lucky dude. Katheraine basically ran to the counter and got her ticket. I wondered what was going on with her, but didn't ask.

We sat down to wait until her plane loaded up, and I fell into a deep, well deserved sleep.

Kyndell's P.O.V.

Sam stayed with me as the others left. When the door shut it seemed like we were both thinking about what to say. Anticipation was bundled up inside of me, but I'd deal with that later. Sam needed me now.

"Are you okay?" Sam nodded.

"Its just Kian. He's freaking me out. I've never seen him act like this. He's always so strong, and if he is acting like this, something must be really wrong." Sam said.

I nodded. "I noticed it too. Neal can be..." memories shot back "...freaky." I spoke in a monotone.

Sam winced and shook his head. "I just need you." he whispered and kissed my forehead.

"I'm not leaving anytime soon." I whispered back.

I looked into his chocolate eyes and found several emotions there. Uncertainty, confusion, admiration, and fear all before my eyes. He looked like he was asking permission.

I smiled and leaned in to kiss him. His lips were soft and oddly reassuring. Before I could deepen the kiss, Sam reluctantly pulled away.

"I'm sorry." He said leaning his forehead against mine, scrunching his forehead. "I just don't want to push you too far again." He whispered, "I don't want to loose you."

His face was full of emotion and he almost brought me to tears. I pecked his lips once more before settling into his side, yawning.

"Kyndell, I never told you, but I really think your singing is beautiful." He randomly confessed. My face flushed and I felt Sam laughing. "I wish you would sing more actually, it calms me down." He played with my hair as I hummed along to You and I by One Direction, eventually quietly singing the words.

He smiled and I swear, I have never seen something so beautiful.
