Sadly, Sam's arms disappeared from around me sooner then I would've liked.

We had made it into Nevada and we were close to Arizona. Jc would not shut up about getting to visit Arizona. After all, his tea was made there.

I could tell something was wrong with Katheraine because when we had to switch drivers she didn't replace Sam beside me. Ricky ended up taking the back seat with me while Sam drove. Kian was vlogging from the passenger seat and Jc was next to Kat.

The song Blurred Lines came on the radio and Ricky shot across the seats to turn it up. "Girl! This is my jam!" Ricky yelled.Everyone laughed and watched as Ricky made a fool of himself once again.

"I know you want it!"

"I know you want it!"

"I know you want it!"

Even Kian and Jc were singing along, completely out of tune. Everyone except Katheraine. The entire time she just glared at Jc. I didn't know what was happening, Katheraine never acted like this.

I shrugged it off and looked up to find Sam staring at me through the mirror. Even though Sam and I had been dating for a while now, I still blush. A lot. He winked and my heart melted. Katheraine noticed and huffed, looking out the window.

"I'm pulling in at Shoney's!" Sam yelled and took a sharp right, causing cars to honk behind us.

"Are you trying to kill us?!?" Jc shouted at Sam. Everyone had grabbed the closest thing possible, Ricky's foot was closest to me. Ew.

"Not all of you." Sam smiled at me.

Halfway through our meal, Katheraine stood up and walked to the bathroom. Everyone seemed to be wondering the same thing, with no answer. I sighed and followed Kat.

When I opened the door I saw Katheraine standing at a mirror, reapplying her makeup. "What's wrong?" I said cutting to the chase.

"Everything!" She yelled and shut her compact. My eyes grew. Katheraine never yelled, like ever. "I'm living in a van, Jc is getting on my last nerve, and you!"

"What do you mean me?"

"I mean, this is all your fault! If you would've stayed in Maine, or hell, even just called the cops we wouldn't be in this mess! I would be at my house, not in some van!" She screamed at me. This made me mad.

"How could you say that? You didn't even have to come! I didn't make you come with us! If you want to go home so bad, then go!" I should've regretted those words, but I didn't.

"Maybe I will!" She turned and stopped out of the bathroom.

I sighed and leaned against the sink. What was happening? Oh yeah, my life. "Are you okay?"

My eyes darted to the mirror. A small girl stepped out of the last stall. She had light brown hair, gray eyes, and looked to be about thirteen.

I slowly nodded, inching towards the door. "My name is Bailee." She said stepping forward. "Kyndell."

"Here's my number, if you ever want to talk." She said handing me a piece of paper and sliding out the door.

I stood there, confused as heck, until an older woman walked in and I stumbled back into the diner.

Sam was looking around with a worried look on his face when I returned. As our eyes met, his face turned to relief.

I sat down and Sam kissed my cheek. "What took you so long? I was starting to worry." Katheraine shot me a nasty look across the table, and I felt my blood boil. I didn't want to start anything in Shoney's, so I stood up and walked out the door.I heard someone behind me so I hurried to the van.

Seconds after I closed the van door, it opened again. Sam popped his head inside and sat beside me. "What's going on?" He asked, placing my hand in his.

"Katheraine wants to leave."

"Why?" He asked kissing my knuckles.

"She said everything was my fault and that Jc was getting on her nerves." I watched him.

"What? This is NOT your fault." He raised his voice, making me flinch.

"Except it kind of is. I got you into this, you all shouldn't have to be here." My eyes fell. "You shouldn't be here."

Sam made me look at him. "We chose to be apart of this. You didn't. I'm here because I never, ever want to let you go. If anything happened to you... I want to be here." He got closer, inches away. "I HAVE to be here." He whispered.

We stared at each other for what seemed like forever. I lifted my hand to his face and erased the inches.

We kissed, soft and gentle. Our lips moved with restraint. I could feel his arms loosening from around me and I frowned. Our lips parted and he smiled, touching foreheads.

My frown deepened as I thought about how little time we would have alone now. I pulled myself back to Sam and kissed him one last time before I resigned. He pulled me into his lap and wrapped his arms around me. I laid my head back on his shoulder and waited for the others to return.

And they did return. When Katheraine entered she made a noise of annoyance and sat in the passenger seat. Jc looked sad and sat in front of Sam and I with Kian. Ricky started driving minutes later.

I still sat in Sam's lap after we pulled out of the parking lot. Looking up I realized he was asleep, still smiling. He looked so peaceful. I joined him, snuggling as close as virtually possible. As I closed my eyes I wondered where exactly we were going. I didn't wonder long.
