Kyndell's P.O.V.

The drive to the hospital was depressing, even with Trevor belting out random lyrics from a new Nikki Minaj song. I wasn't paying attention to anything besides keeping my heart at a normal pace, so when the van stopped beside a grease shop I didn't even notice.

"Kyndell? Are you coming?" Sam asked, snapping me out of my daze. He offered me his hand and I grasped it, letting him pull me out of the pedo van. "The car you're taking is over there." He said, pointing to a beat up truck. Astrid, Joanna, and Sidney had already taken their places inside the bed of the truck. Another rusted car sat behind Sam and I guessed that would be his way of transportation.

I looped my arms around Sam's neck and buried my face into the nook of his shoulder. This was my spot. He placed his hands on my waist and put his head on top of mine. We stood like that for a few minutes.

"Hurry up, there's no time for love-" Katheraine started to yell, but Jc cut her off with a look that made shivers run down my spine. He understood.

I focused my attention back on Sam, letting my hands slowly touch his face and watching as his eyes softened. He leaned in and kissed me. This kiss was different, it was as if we had travelled back in time to the very first time we kissed. Golden sparks pumped throughout my veins, filling my entire being with pixie dust. My heart couldn't possibly beat any faster then it did at that moment. I wanted to stay right here with Sam forever.

But life sucked.

I forced myself to brake the kiss and rest my forehead against Sam's. He smiled at me and I knew that he had felt something too.

"Goodbye Sam."

"Its not goo-" I placed my finger over his lips and shushed him. He had the most confused look on his face that I'd ever seen. I forced a little smile and gave him one last kiss before turning away and running over to the truck. Kian had the door open before I had reached it.

He turned on the engine. "You don't have to do this." He looked down at me, hoping I had changed my mind last minute. As if.

"Yes I do." He sighed and pulled the truck onto the main road. I looked out the window and saw Sam standing with his eyebrows furrowed together in the exact same spot I had left him. Ricky was standing beside the white stalker van looking genuinely upset. I guess he really liked that thing.

Just as the grease shop faded from view I saw Sam's face cloud with realization. His eyes widened about three times their normal size and he started yelling at someone. A few seconds later my phone started blowing up; texts, calls, and voicemails were all instantly being sent to my cellular device. Before I started bawling my eyes out, I grabbed my phone and chucked it out the window. I wouldn't need one now.

A loud bang sounded from behind us, making me jump out of my skin. Astrid's face looked through the window with concern. I had almost forgotten that they were riding in the back. Maybe I should think next time before throwing electronics out of a car window.

I sat back and turned on the radio. The sweet sound of Onerepublic filled the car, helping me relax and I sighed.

"Look at those clouds!" I heard Astrid interrupt my peaceful moment. My eyes flicked up to the sky and my jaw dropped. The clouds were swirling around and around. They seemed to be looking for something. Each cloud had a strange purplish glint to it, making them look an odd silver color. They continued to run around the sky, desperately hoping to find the object they desired. In the back of my mind a small voice stated that maybe the clouds were a sign.

I brushed off the thought, I mean they were just clouds.

Right?

We silently rolled into the thin forest surrounding the warehouse and parked. I took a deep breath. This was it.

Kian looked over at me and raised an eyebrow. "Ready to blow this popsicle stand?" I cracked a grin and narrowed my eyes.

"You know it." He gave my hand a squeeze.

"Let's go kick some evil pedophile ass." I chuckled and slowly hopped out of the truck, leaving the door open just in case. Astrid, Joanna, and Sidney had already crawled out of the back and were waiting for my signal to progress. I gave them a nod, letting them know that it was okay to move forward.

We took off towards the building, trying to preserve every ounce of surprise that we could. I watched Kian and Astrid run up to a window halfway underground and start prying it open. Sidney and Joanna took a back door after swiftly picking the lock. They were going to get every girl they could while Kian and Astrid looked for Sarah. After a moments thought, I realized that it would be quicker if I entered with the girls. I ran back to the door they had went through and caught up with them.

We had barely taken three steps before I saw cage after cage after cage of boney, dead looking girls. A gasp escaped my mouth. It was never this bad. I wasted no time jumping onto the first lock and springing the door wide open. "Go! Run in the direction the sun is rising and don't stop until you flag down someone!" I yelled, getting everyones attention. They all huddled by their doors, waiting for Sidney, Joanna, and I to let them out.

I felt fat tears well up in my eyes realizing this wasn't my part of the plan. "Go! We'll take care of them, just don't let that son of a bitch get away!" Sidney yelled, expertly opening another door. I hesitated, knowing how bad those girls wanted to be free. "Go!" Sidney commanded. I wasted no more time and sprinted down a narrow hallway, making sure to take note of every turn. The path soon branched into two separate walkways.

I groaned to myself. I couldn't even pick between Pepsi and Coke, how the hell was I supposed to make this kind of choice. My breath started coming out in little puffs. I was about to give up and just start crying when my ears perked up at a noise. A small whimper came from the left side. I strained my ears to pick up any more noise and listened as other sounds of distress joined the first. The right side was still silent.

I thought it over. There was no way Neal would want to stay around his captives all the time. He'd want peace and quiet.

Trusting my gut, I turned right and started running.

God, I hope I'm right.

The hallway suddenly stopped and I looked around, more confused than ever.

What. The. Actual. Fuck.
