66 : A Cook-off

(In the Stands)

"Oh no." Brock says in a down tone as he looks at the match up. He has been paired with Ash.

"Too bad. It seems you will be knocked out in this round buddy." Gary says while smirking as he puts his arms around Lillie.

"But still try your best. No one is invincible. That is not logical." Lillie says in an encouraging tone.

"Yeah. I don't think that logic applies here Lillie but thanks." Brock says.

"Put up a good fight." Lucy says as she gives Brock a passionate kiss before sending him off.

(In another section of the stands)

"It's seems I have been paired with Ash's girlfriend the Kalos Queen Serena. This will be a spicy meatball of a battle." Cilan says as he examines the match up.

"Yeah. Well I hope you do your best. She is really strong. I didn't land a single clean hit of her Pokemon." Cameron says in a down tone.

"Yeah well that is because you are well beyond sub standard." Trip says while smirking.

"I am not." Cameron snaps back.

"You are." Trip replies.

"Am not." Cameron says.

"You are." Trip again reiterates.

"Enough. Frankly speaking no one cares what the 2 of you think. Best of luck Cilan cutie." Bianca says as she gives her boyfriend a peck on the cheek.

"Yeah thanks. I needed that. Well I will be off." Cilan says as he gets up.

"Best of luck." Iris says as the 4 wave Cilan goodbye.

(20 Minutes Later)

"So Brock. Ready to fight?" Ash says with a smirk.

"Yup .I am going all out Ash." Brock says with a confidant tone.

"Good. We wouldn't want it to be a total sweep over would we?" Ash says as he smirks causing Brock to start panicking inside.

"Trainers send out your first Pokemon." Referee says.

"Here I'll choose first. Go Blastoise." Ash says as he tosses his Poke-ball.

"So Squirtle evolved. Interesting." Brock says as he evaluates which Pokemon to send.

"Alright then go Ludicolo." Brock says as he tosses his Poke-ball.

"Battle Begin." Referee announces.

(In the Stands)

"So Ashy Boy's Squirtle evolved. About time I would say." Gary says.

"What do you mean by that Gary?" Lillie asks.

"What I mean is that Ash had several Pokemon like Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Pikachu who he has't evolved even after years of having them.

"You mean he gave them Everstone from preventing their evolutions?" Lillie asks in a flabbergasted tone.

"No. Had that been the case I wouldn't be surprised. Here he did no such thing. What is even more interesting is that his Pokemon all have moves which they normally should be able to use after evolving but his Pokemon can use those moves nonetheless. I have been working for some time on a theory to explain this rather bizarre phenomenon." Gary says.
