71 : A Trip down memory lane

(Later that night)

"Where am I?" Serena says in a confused groggy tone as she wakes up in the middle of nowhere. She looks around to see she's in the middle of a street with archaic architectural buildings on all sides.

"Looks like an abandoned city or something. The architecture is quite old. Similar to that of the Parfum Palace but much older." Serena says in a confused tone as she touches a tapestry.

"Speaking of confusing things. Where is Ash? Also how did I get here?" Serena says as she frantically looks here and there trying to see if anyone is nearby.

Serena is about to shout Ash's name when suddenly she hears a sizzling whoosh sound. She turns around to see a fireball colliding with one of the houses and exploding.

"What the?" Serena says as she turns to the direction from where the fireball projectile had come from. What she sees takes her breath away. She sees hundreds of fireballs bombard the building around her. She also starts hearing noises of people shrieking in agony and the sound of people stampeding and the sound of metal clashing.

"What's happening?" Serena says in a panicked tone moment before the ground beneath her suddenly collapses and she falls while shouting as loudly as possible to no avail.

"No." Serena shouts as she wakes up with a start in her bed while being covered in sweat. She looks around to find out she is in her bedroom.

She breathes a sigh of relief before saying "That was some nightmare."

She feels happy upon realising that it was all a figment of her imagination. She is about to fall back onto her bed to sleep when she suddenly hears Ash's groaning voice.

Upon realising what might have happened due to her startling Ash with her scream she suddenly goes over to Ash's side of the bed to see him massaging his head after taking a fall.

"Oh Ash. I am so sorry. I didn't mean to startle you. Here I'll get some water." Serena says as she gets out of bed, puts on her bathroom robe and goes to the side table to fetch the bottle of water.

"You didn't scare me Sere." Ash says after drinking some water which seemed to reinforce him.

"Huh? What do you mean? You fell of the bed because I startled you with my scream . Didn't you?" Serena asks Ash whose breathing has gone back to normal.

"Man that was one freaky nightmare." Ash mutters causing Serena to get shocked.

"Nightmare?" Serena asks in a tone of disbelief.

"Yeah. I woke up in the middle of a medieval city or something. Suddenly the whole place starting getting bombarded left and right by what looked like huge Draco Meteors. Suddenly the ground collapsed beneath my feet as I screamed and feel into a dark abyss." Ash says after drinking another sip of water.

"That's unbelievable. I just had the same nightmare." Serena says in a tone of disbelief.

"You're kidding me. The very same one I just had. Right now?" Ash asks in a confirming tone to which Serena nods.

"Well what do you think it means. Is it a coincidence or does it mean something?" Ash asks.

"How should I know Ash? But I think it is clear that this is one hell of a coincidence if it is one in the first place." Serena replies as she helps Ash off the floor and sit on the bed.

"Well. What do you think we should do. Should we tell someone about it?" Ash asks.

"Probably our moms and if need be we can tell the Dragon Emperor." Serena replies.
