81 : Fiery Assault on Iron Clad Defense

(In the Battlefield)

Many people are coughing as the dust settles in the stadium. Everyone watches as the dust settles to see who won that spectacular clash. Ash and Serena are slightly panting when they see that both Aerodactyl and Sceptile lie fainted in the centre of a crater in the battlefield.

"Oh well. Return Aerodactyl. You did your very best." Serena says with a sigh as she recalls Aerodactyl back into its Poke-ball.

"You were always a fighter buddy." Ash says as he recalls his Pokemon back as well.

"Both Aerodactyl and Sceptile are unable to battle. This round is a tie." Referee announces.

"Very well then. Shall we continue?" Serena says as he grabs her Poke-ball.

"Let's do that. But I warn you my Pokemon does pack a fiery punch." Ash says as he enlarges his Poke-ball as well.

"Oh honey, if you thought my Aerodactyl was savage then this one will give you nightmares." Serena says sweetly, moments before they both toss their Poke-balls.

(In the VIP Box)

"What's happening to them? They were not the least bit concerned when they sent each other flying the way they did." Delia says as she tries to hold back her tears.

"There there." Grace says as she pulls Delia into a comforting hug.

"They were hurting the ones they love. Don't they realise that." Delia continues on while sobbing into Grace's shoulder.

"Yes. They were. And you have only yourselves to blame for it." Lance says in a cold tone.

"Lance!" Diantha says in a sharp tone.

"This is hardly the time and place." Cynthia interjects as well.

"Change in time and place will not change the truth Diantha. It was they who allowed their children to train under a man about who we know nothing about. Now that they see what their children are turning into they cry wolf." Lance says in a cold tone as Delia blows her nose and wipes her tears.

"We didn't exactly." Grace says only to be cut off by Lance.

"Exactly allow them. That's what you were going to say didn't you?" Lance says which literally paralyses Grace to the spot who can do nothing but stare at Lance's bluntness with her throat growing drier and drier by the minute.

"You let them go without a word of protest nevertheless. Didn't you? That is as good as allowing." Lance finishes as Grace looks down at the floor because internally she knows that Lance is right.

"That is enough Lance." Diantha says in a sharp tone with Cynthia also giving Lance glares of disapproval.

"Whatever. Those two are not the same loving innocent Ash and Serena these two knew. They better come face to face with the reality they allowed into their lives as soon as possible." Lance says while turning to the match. No one says anything. Not even Goodshow rebuffs Lance for his open bluntness.

(In the Battlefield)

"Steeee lixxxx" A gigantic Steelix roars viciously. Everyone's breath gets taken away due to the colossal size of the Steelix.

"Infer Infernape." Infernape says upon getting out.

"So we meet at last. The only Pokemon of Serena's I have never faced before." Ash says in a soft tone as both Pokemon softly growl at one another while maintaining battle stance.
