87 : The Meeting

(Next Morning)

Everyone is sitting in silence. All the gym leaders, frontier brains, Elite four, Champions, Pokemon League board members, Contest Board Members and Showcases board members are sitting awaiting Diantha's arrival to get the meeting started. All of Ash's friends, the Alolan Delegates , Professors, Grace and Delia are also present. Suddenly Diantha walks in and takes her seat.

"Now that everyone's here. Please start the meeting Diantha." Goodshow says. Diantha gets up and walks to the head of the table.

"Well as you all know. The purpose of this meeting is to decide what is going to happen. We have a lot to discuss and wrap our heads around. The entire Pokemon League and the board members of the Contests and Showcases are here." Diantha says before pausing.

"The agenda of this meeting is to decide what to do with this unprecedented situation. The situation concerning what are we to do with this Dragon Emperor. But before we have a formal discussion I need to ask. Are Ash and Serena OK?" Diantha says as everyone looks at Delia and Grace in an expecting manner.

"I wish it was. Delia and I went to check on them. We tried for 3 hours none of them even said a word. Eventually we gave up and came back. I had Harry stay over in the apartment just in case they decided to do something stupid." Grace says in a sad tone.

"Yesterday was a nightmarish experience. It was chaos and pandemonium personified. Charizard Z. I still don't believe such a Pokemon exists." Sycamore says.

"Yeah. That thing wrecked the stadium. That was some sheer power." Paul says while keeping his eyes closed as he rewinds his memories and sees the graphic images in his mind.

"I didn't even know that Charizard could Mega Evolve in 3 ways." Alain says. Sycamore suddenly starts laughing.

"What are you doing professor?" Diantha asks in a shocked tone.

"Yeah. No sorry about that. It's just that I was wondering whether as a professor any of us knew anything at all." Sycamore says as his laughter comes to an end.

"Meaning?" Diantha asks in a confused tone.

"You know what is the biggest joke of the century. It is that we who call ourselves professors don't know anything about the Pokemon world. Everything we know has been washed down the drain." Sycamore says in a bitter tone.

"I agree." Oak says while agreeing with Sycamore.

"What do you mean Professors?" Palermo asks.

"All the research we have done. All the theories and models and papers we have published. All of them are pure farce." Sycamore replies.

"Why?" May asks in a skeptical tone.

"All the research we have done till date has been based on the fundamental assumption that a Pokemon's evolution is irreversible. Now yesterday we saw Dragon Emperor strip a Pokemon of it's evolutionary stage by forcibly drawing some kind of blue energy out of its body." Rowan replies.

"That's not your fault. You didn't know." Cynthia says after a while.

"How did he even do that?" Lance asks. Everyone looks to Sabrina and Olympia for answers.

"I don't know. But he can also shut down our Psychic powers. That's the only explanation which would explain how he managed to overpower me so easily." Sabrina replies.

"Oh yeah. I remember that. You tried to use a Psychic push on him and he didn't even budge an inch." Lance remarks.

"That Mega Evolution of Sylveon and Charizard. It was exceptionally powerful. The once beautiful KIP stadium has now been reduced to a blasted ruin." Seibold says.
