73 : Battle of the Petit ami de la reine

Serena, Grace and Delia are patiently waiting for Ash's upcoming match.

"Who's Ash going up against?" Grace asks to Serena who's checking her phone.

"Oh a trainer called Alain. I think he was Prof. Sycamore's assistant before he left on some project regarding Mega Evolution. But I am not sure. You can ask him if you feel like it. He's right there." Serena says while pointing to Sycamore who's chatting with Diantha.

"Hmm. What do you think about him as a trainer. Have you watched any of his previous battles?" Delia asks.

"Well he's like Paul. Somewhat average. It would be a walk in the park." Serena says in a dismissive manner.

"He's my boyfriend and he'll blow your boyfriend out of the water." A voice says out of no where. Everyone turns see a girl with pink hair looking at Serena with a smirking look of contempt.

"Aria. I haven't seen you in a long time. Last time I heard from Palermo is that you went to Unova for a long vacation." Serena replies.

"I did. I heard you went gallivanting about along with your boyfriend with some Dragon dude while completely neglecting the showcases almost to the point that Palermo told me that the Showcase board was considering taking your title away from you." Aria replies.

"Hah. You're one to talk." Serena replies.

"Of course. After all I have the better boyfriend who by the way is going to wipe the floor with your boyfriend and I also was more responsible towards the Showcases than you were." Aria says in a nonchalant tone.

"Hah. You can build as many castles as you want in the clouds but when my boyfriend shows your boyfriend his place which is being defeated after the outcome of the match we'll see who's smirking." Serena says in a cool tone.

"Alain is more handsome, has better Pokemon and is the better trainer." Aria snaps causing Serena to stand up.

"The only thing Alain is capable of standing in the dust after he's left defeated by Ash not to mention Alain doesn't come anywhere close to Ash both as a trainer and as a boyfriend." Serena snaps back causing Aria to form a growl on her face.

"We'll see about that." Aria says in a fierce tone while gazing into Serena's eyes who is face to face with her. Both girls then glare at each other with sparks flying between them and a growling sound emerging from both.

"Ahem ahem." A familiar voice interrupts the arguing girls who turn to see Palermo looking at them with a serious expression.

"Oh. U mm. Hi Palermo I didn't see you come in." Serena says in a somewhat startled and afraid tone.

"Y-yeah same." Aria stutters as both girls come face to face with their mentor who they know is not too pleased with the situation.

"Indeed. But I am glad to see the current and ex Kalos Queen to not stop entertaining people even though the showcases have stopped." Palermo says in a sarcastic tone as both girls sweat drop.

"I must say I am disappointed to see my two top students arguing like a pair of blind Rhyhorns who are butting head. Hardly the behaviour fit of a queen." Palermo continues in a disappointed and disapproving tone.

"Well." Aria starts only to be cutoff by Palermo.

"Well nothing. You are both my pupils. Whenever you behave poorly in public it reflects poorly on my reputation as well. And I will absolutely not tolerate such behaviour from any of you because I didn't teach you have such hooliganistic behaviour ." Palermo says in a serious tone as both Aria and Serena look at the floor while their feet shuffle. Palermo is about to continue further when suddenly Diantha intervenes.
