Tsunami hadn't really taken on a Mystery Dungeon or even really gone outside Taku Taku City without someone else with him. This was his first time venturing without someone else. The woods hadn't changed much since he was last here. Of course, the last time he was here he was attacked by Wraith and his shadow clones. That was his last memory in the realm of the living Pokemon until Geek saved him at the end of Wraith's tyranny. This place seemed less creepy than last time he was here though. That was a good thing. With everything that had been happening, creepy was certainly something no one wanted. Geek must've been at the bottom.
Tsunami pushed through a massive pile of vines and thick branches. He was using his Razor Shell to cut through most of it. Occasionally Tsunami would pass a Pokemon or two who looked like they'd just been run over by a herd of Rhyperior. No doubt Geek's doing. He kept going.
The third floor bore down some Pokemon who hadn't been totally flattened by Geek, which Tsunami had to quickly deal with. The sun was setting, and while this place looked less creepy, Tsunami didn't want to risk being out here at night. The fourth floor brought down a random puzzle he'd never encountered before. He'd heard that puzzles were starting to appear in Mystery Dungeons now, something Tsunami was not so fond of. Especially since he hated puzzles.
The fifth floor was an easy breeze, and the sixth floor was mostly the same. The seventh floor brought another Pokemon attack, and then Tsunami arrived at the final floor. Walking down the stairs, Tsunami was suddenly filled with bad memories. Him and Volt going down first, getting ambushed by the Shadow Pokemon clones. The foliage and trees hadn't changed all those years. It sent shivers down Tsunami's back.
Then, he saw Geek. The Riolu was sitting cross legged at the other end of the little opening in the trees and leaves. He was just sitting there, staring down at the floor. Tsunami made his presence known rather subtly by purposefully stepping on a branch. Geek didn't even turn to look. He just sat there, doing whatever he was doing. Tsunami couldn't see because Geek's back was turned to him. Tsunami cleared his throat, an action done a little louder than the branch snapping. Geek shifted his head slightly, but quickly returned it to his original position.
"Geek. Victini wants us to come home. I think you'd enjoy an actual bed and warmth to a nasty old forest right?" Tsunami appealed.
"Leave me alone," Geek grunted rather rudely.
"Come on man, let's get back to the HQ. We can get a good meal if we start heading back now," Tsunami once again appealed.
"I said leave me alone," Geek repeated, more rude than before.
Tsunami sighed and took another step forward. Instantly, a dozen Aura Spheres appeared before him, forming a wall between him and Geek. Geek tilted his head slightly, revealing his frown and teary eyes. Tsunami felt a wave of pity as he saw his friend like this. He couldn't just leave him here. He couldn't just abandon him. Not again.
"Geek, please, just come home," Tsunami pleaded.
"That place is your home. NOT mine," Geek growled as he stood up, fully facing Tsunami now.
His face was red, puffed up with tears. His aura must have fluctuated again, because as far as Tsunami was concerned, Geek shouldn't have been this emotional normally. Tsunami just stood there and watched Geek, who stared him down with those deep, wavy eyes. He was definitely out of it right now.
"Geek, come on. I'll take you back. You can sleep the whole way, I don't care," Tsunami pleaded just one last time.
Geek's eye flared to life with its purple hue again. He threw a fist forward, tears spilling all over the floor and the leaves around them. Tsunami pulled out his shell and batted all the spheres away as quickly as he could, then returned his attention to Geek. Geek just gave him a deep, mourning yet angry grimace.
"If you won't leave me alone then I'll MAKE YOU LEAVE ME ALONE!"
