-.-
I opened the door to the basement and saw him fidgeting with his fingers as he tapped his foot rapidly. Knocking lightly on the door, he looked up at me and stopped what he was doing. I smiled at him lightly, but I didn't get a smile in return. I understand where he's coming from though so it was fine.
"Mind if I join you?" I said as I held onto the door.
He shook his head and I made my way over to him. I pulled a bean bag chair over and sat down beside him. I didn't know what to say or rather what to think. He said he didn't like me in the recording but he hasn't been acting like it. Although I am a bit sad about what he said, I'm not going to press him about it. His going away party was completely ruined.
"I'm sorry." I finally spat out.
"For what? None of this was your fault. It was all Mariah's fault. I should've never let her hold this stupid party in the first place. I guess it's my fault too."
"Hey. None of this is your fault and you know it. We all could've done something to stop what happened tonight. Don't be hard on yourself." I said calmly.
He seemed to be a bit in a better mood. I could tell he wasn't completely happy though. No one would be after this situation.
"I'm sorry for what I said." Finn said.
"What are you talking about?"
He just looked at me with a serious expression on his face.
"Oh, that. It's fine if that's how you feel, I get it. It's fine because I can't make you feel anything towards me. If you just acted like you did like me to not hurt my feelings, that's fine too. I ge-""(Y/n)." I looked over at him. "I only said that to her because I had to. I didn't want her to hurt you in any way just because we have feeling for each other."
I smiled and hugged him. Thank God he actually does like me.
"Thank you Finn."
We let go of each other and grabbed each other's hands.
"Do you feel any better?" I asked him."Almost, there's one thing missing though." Finn hinted.
I giggled softly and started leaning in. Our lips met and moved together in sync. The kiss was short but sweet.
"Now I'm happy. I'd be even happier if you stayed over again for like, the 100th time this week."
"I'd be glad too."
-.-
We went back outside and started to help Josh and (y/bff) clean up. There was no point in leaving it up, might as well get it over with. They turned to look at us and smiled when they saw that Finn was happier. I walked over to (y/bff) and Finn walked over to Josh. (Y/bff) nudged me playfully.
"Nice job, what'd you do?"
"Something." I smiled to myself as I picked up some trash.
She gasped and looked over at me.
"What?" I asked."You didn't!"
"Didn't what?"
"You know? Is that what took you two so long?" she winked.
I finally realized what she meant and I immediately shook my head.
"Jesus Christ (y/bff), no! We're fourteen." I whisper yelled.
( btw this is 2016 rn in the story at least lol )"Oh thank God. I thought I didn't know you for a second."
"As if I'd do that."
Finn's POV
I definitely did feel better, thanks to (y/n) of course. We headed outside and went our different ways. I stood by Josh as he put empty cans and bottles into the trash bag I was holding.
"Glad to see you're in a better mood, dude." Josh said to me.
"Yeah, me too." I smiled as I glanced over at (y/n).
"Did you guys do anything...you know? You two did take a while." Josh tried to keep his voice down in case they heard us.
I took a can out of the bag and threw it at him.
"No, of course not dude. In case you forgot, we are still kids.""That shouldn't stop you from doing stuff." Josh joked.
"Shut up." I laughed.
-.-
After we cleaned up, Josh and (y/bff) decided to go home. It was getting late anyways. (Y/bff) had left a couple minutes ago. Josh's ride finally got to my house a while later. As I escorted him out, Josh stopped me at the door.
"Don't lose her."
I nodded and said goodbye to him. I walked back upstairs to my room. As I opened the door, I saw that (y/n) wasn't there. (Y/n) was playing video games on the floor of my room last I checked. She's probably just getting ready for bed in the restroom. I got under the covers and scrolled on my phone as I waited for her to come in.
After about five minutes, I heard her footsteps in the hallway. I looked up as she entered the room. The way she looked made me get butterflies.
I know this is cheesy as hell but even without makeup she looks great. I smiled at her and put my phone to the side. She smiled back and walked over to me.
"You're blushing really hard, you know that?"
"Yeah, I don't really hide that very well."
She got into bed beside me and propped herself up with her elbow as she faced me. I did the same and waited for her to talk. I could tell she wanted to say something.
"I don't want you to leave. Sadly, I can't do anything about the fact I won't be able to hang out with you all summer."
( the last day of school was that Friday I guess lol forgot to mention that in the last chapter )I grabbed her hand and traced circles with my thumb. I sighed and looked at her.
"We have all day tomorrow, let's make it the best one yet.""The best one yet."
I paused and laughed.
"What?" she asked."Did (y/bff) ask you if we...you know, too?"
"Oh my God, did Josh ask you the same thing?"
I nodded and laughed.
"We need new best friends. They don't even know us." (Y/n) joked.
