( the next day )

When I woke up beside Finn on my balcony, I can't say I wasn't confused at first. But then I remembered last night's events. A smile spread across my face and I could feel myself blushing. I sat up and checked the time on my phone, 10:21am. I was about to wake Finn up when he started to sit up.

"Morning (y/n)." Finn said as he wrapped his arms around my torso and layed his head on my shoulder.

"Morning Finn." I said with a smile. I started to stand up when he sat me back down.

"Where are you going?" Finn pouted.

"To get ready, you leave today remember?" I reminded him.

He pecked my cheek and held on to me tightly.
"A little while longer then?" Finn asked.

"Of course."

-.-

After about a half hour of just enjoying each other's company, we started getting ready for the day. We only had a few hours to hang out today. Then I won't see him for months, again. I sighed and headed back to my room and knocked on the door. When I got no response, I burst into my room.

"Hey lose- Oh my god! Sorry!" I yelled when I walked in on Finn changing. I quickly got out of my room and shut the door behind me. Ive only seen him without a shirt not without his pants! After a few seconds, my door opened. I could feel my face getting redder by the second.

"Well that happened." Finn laughed.

"You know, usually when someone knocks you answer." I said, trying to lighten up the awkwardness.

We began walking downstairs to the kitchen to eat breakfast. "Relax, you're lucky I had my f*cking boxers on."

I nudged him playfully and started getting our breakfasts ready. After I was done, I sat down beside him on one of the stools at the breakfast bar.

"Here we go again. Stranger Things took a while to film. You'll only be gone for the summer, right?" I asked.

"About that, I have a TON of interviews and conventions to go to right after I finish filming IT."

"Oh, well that's fine. I understand you're busy." I finished my sentence and began eating my bagel to keep me distracted.

"I'm sorry (y/n). If it were up to me I would get back as soon as possible but..." Finn said.

"No it's fine I get it. We should probably get going. We only have a few hours to hang out." I smiled as I began gathering the dishes. I placed the dishes in the sink and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. I felt him wrap his arms around my torso and place his head on my shoulder.

"Are you sure you're fine?" he asked quietly.

"I'm fine, really Finn." I turned around and kissed his cheek. "Now let's go."

-.-

"Cmon (y/n)! Let's go!" Finn said from the door frame.

I rushed over and stopped in my tracks.
"Forgot something." I said.

Finn groaned and I ran back upstairs to my room. I looked over at my dresser and quickly grabbed my Polaroid camera. I ran back downstairs and slowed down once I reached Finn.

"Really?"

"For memories." I argued.

-.-

We skated about half a mile up the street and reached the best place to take pictures. The hill was covered in grass and pretty little flowers. There was even a little gazebo with lights strung around it for when people got married here.

"Do you want to go first Finnlard? Or will you be my designated photographer for today?" I raised an eyebrow playfully while holding out the camera.

He grabbed the camera out of my hands and smiled. "Sure, why wouldn't I want to capture something so beautiful?"

I smiled at him, that was until he aimed the camera at himself. I playfully groaned at him.
"Oh sorry, did you think I was talking about you?" he joked.

I ruffled his hair playfully and quickly pecked his lips.
"Now capture the real beauty." I said and pointed at myself.

He started taking pictures and smiled while looking at them. After he took my pictures, I took his.

"I'd love to come here more often, how come this is the first time we've been here?"

"Just discovered it, we should come here when you get back."

"Sounds like a good a*s plan."

I looked down at my watch and sighed.
"We have to go."

-.-

The car ride was a pain in my a*s. Tons of traffic, like always. We got there a little late, which meant no roaming around the airport. No extra time with Finn. There was one good thing to come out of the ride to the airport. Finn and I held hands the whole time while he had his arm around me. Every now and then we would kiss when no one was looking. I'm going to miss him.

We didn't talk on the way to security. Every time we come here, it gets us so down. Once we reached security, we thought it would be a good time to say our goodbyes.

"I'll see you when I get back okay? I love you." Finn said to me.

"I love you too."

He pulled me in for a hug. We just stood there for a while, not wanting to let go of each other. His dad cleared his throat and we let go of each other. Finn mouthed a bye to me and headed into the line. I waved lightly and saw as he made his way to his plane. Without even noticing it, my eyes started watering and next thing you know I'm crying in the airport. I decided to sit and wait for a while until I calmed down.

-.-

I laid down on my bed and sighed. A faint knock was heard on the other side of my door.

"Come in."

My mom entered the room with a sympathetic look on her face. She sat down at the end of my bed. "Will you be okay not spending the summer with him?"

I sighed and nodded. She sighed in relief and rubbed my back lovingly before leaving my room.

To a sh*tty summer
