Annabelle...
"Yes, Annabelle, that's it. Open your eyes love." I slowly fluttered my eyes open and saw Melanie hovering over me.
"Finally! I was starting to get so worried!" She shouted out.
I glanced around to find myself in Melanie's room again. I'm here more than I am my own room. "What happened?"
Mel looked at me sadly. "Do you remember anything that happened at all Saturday?" She asked.
"Yeah, I went home and..." I trailed off not wanting to say it.
"Well, you blacked out after I got there. I brought you over here. I was able to tell what was broken and I set some things and bandaged you up the best I could. You were right about your two ribs, your collarbone and your elbow. Your ankle doesn't look broken though, only sprained." She explained to me with sad eyes.
I absorbed everything she said and looked down to see a sling on my left arm, a wrap on my ankle, and I could feel something wrapped around my torso as well.
"You've been out for a while too. It's Tuesday afternoon."
My eyes grew wide as I glanced over to the window to see the afternoon sun shining through.
"I've been out since Saturday night? That's nearly three days!" I quickly went into panic mode. "What about Niall?! What did you tell him? Oh my gosh, three days?!" I was panicking.
"Whoa, calm down love. You're going to hurt yourself." She grabbed my shoulders to push me back down. "Don't worry, alright? I texted Niall from your phone Sunday to tell him you couldn't hang out. Then at school yesterday and today, I told him that you were out sick." She said softly to sooth me. "He wanted to come check on you but I told him you were here and that you were fine." She paused, letting out a sigh. "You're going to have to tell him. When you walk into school limping and with a sling, he's going to get suspicious. He's been with you all week. He'll know it wasn't anyone at school."
I didn't want to tell Niall. He didn't need to worry. I could get through with the help of Melanie just fine.
She noticed my hesitation and discomfort and changed the subject. "Why don't we see if you can move. Hopefully the pain has settled and now that you're all patched up, that should help."
I nodded in agreement, thankful that she changed the topic.
She helped me off the bed, and by the grace of God, it only hurt a little bit. It was mostly numbed by now and I only let out a few strained cries. Once I was standing, she helped me get started on walking before letting me take over. I was limping pretty bad, but I was manageable.
"Good, Annabelle. How do you feel?" She asked me with a proud smile.
"Okay, surprisingly. It hurts, but not nearly as bad." I honestly answered.
"I don't know how you do it, Annabelle. You are the strongest person I have ever met in my entire life. If I was you, I would have given up by now. But you keep your head up and you keep going. You, Annabelle Rose Skyhill, are my idol." She said with tears in her eyes.
I pulled her into a hug. "It's all because of you. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. You are the reason why I'm so strong." I said through my own tears.
And not even five minutes later, we were a blubbering mess.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" She asked me as we stood in front of the school.
