Annabelle...

June 3rd.

That was the best day of my life. That was the day, after years and years of waiting, that Niall Horan asked me to be his girlfriend. That was the day that my world and my life finally felt like it could go somewhere, and that I could have some kind of hope.

Niall was my hope.

Niall was my boyfriend.

Man, I love saying that.

It was the 11th now, and Niall and I had both been absolutely on cloud nine for the past week. He took me out a couple more times in that time. He claimed he wanted to "show off my perfect girlfriend to the world." He also made it well aware to everyone at school, mainly all the boys, that he was officially my boyfriend. Meaning, all the protectiveness and warnings sky rocketed. Let's just say when it's about my safety, Niall means business.

And I loved that.

Graduation was in a little less than two weeks and I couldn't be more excited. I just wanted to get the hell out of here. Even though I was so safe and happy with Niall, I still had the paranoia that danger was lurking behind every corner. I tried to look past the fact that things with Nick and his minions and my dad had been quiet.

Too quiet.

Everything's fine, Annabelle. Stop freaking yourself out.

The doorbell ringing downstairs broke me from my thoughts.

"I got it!" Melanie shouted up the stairs.

My curiosity got the better of me, and I went over to open my door so I could hear.

"Ugh, it's you." I heard her sneer.

"Well hello to you too." I heard Louis' voice. "Still not over the fact that I beat you?" He asked and I let out a snort.

The two of them had a prank war going on for the past month, and Louis got her really good two days ago. She obviously didn't take it well. She scoffed. "What jerk ties all of someone's bras together, and leaves them in a wad by the police station! I almost got in real big trouble!"

"Yeah, yeah. If you guys are done, where's Annabelle?" I nearly fell over at the sound of Niall's voice.

Melanie only responded to his question with a laugh, because I was already flying down the stairs into his arms.

"Hello princess." He greeted before giving me a quick kiss.

"You guys can continue bickering, we're going outside!" I shouted at Louis and Melanie as I started dragging Niall out the front door.

"Okay, well Harry's going to be here in about an hour to talk about something. I don't know what it is, but yeah." She trailed off as I nodded at her.

"We'll just be in the driveway."

I shut the door behind me and turned to Niall. "Ready to keep up your deal?" I asked.

Last week we had a bet running on who could go the longest without sitting down, and Niall lost in not even two hours because he was so lazy. It started because I was teasing him for being too lazy to get up and get the TV remote, so he got all wise saying he bet he could go the longest without sitting down. So, me being me, of course, I took the offer. We agreed that the loser would have to wash the winner's car, while wearing whatever the winner wanted the loser to wear. Since I didn't have a car, Mel was more than willing to let Niall clean her car.
