ABUSED

A Friend

I continued humming 'Lost' as I was in the middle of nowhere. 

Literally. 

I didn't know where the heck I was so assumed that I was in the middle of nowhere. 

All I saw was road and concrete. 

"M-Maybe I should turn back." 

I sighed. 

A ten year old lost in the middle of nowhere.

I continued walking as I then saw a car come up to where I was. 

I stopped as the car stopped to where I was standing. 

The car window rolled down as I gasped. 

"Karoline?!" 

"Riley?! W-What are you doing out here?" 

"I-I-" 

"Riley why are you out here all by yourself?! Where is your mom?!" Karoline's mom questioned from inside of the car. 

I wanted to answer but I then felt tears swell up in my eyes as I started to cry burring my face into my hands. 

I felt a pair of arms wrap around my aching body as I cried and cried. 

"It's gonna be okay Riley. I'm here." 

I looked up at Karoline as she gave me a soft smile. 

The last I knew was me ending up in her car as we headed to who knows where. 

Great. 

I have lots of explaining to do.
