The Body in The River

The Finding of the Body

It was 7:26 pm and Keven, Ashley, Nick, and Natalie had found a dead body in the river, not just any body though,the one that the police had been looking for the past months and all along she had been dead.

"Well someone say something!!" Ashley yelled as they had been standing there for at least 5 minuets now.

"Ok umm well umm what do we umm do?" Natalie asked in a wavering voice.

"Well we can't just stand here we have to call the cops" Nick said as it was only obvious to call the police.

"Well no duh Nick" Natalie said right back to him.

"Hey you where the one who asked" Nick said as Natalie rolled her eyes at him.

"Ok everyone calm down and stop with the bickering" Keven said as those words were the most wisest word he's ever said.

As Nick and Natalie continued to argue and Keven tried to stop their argument Ashley called the police and told them where they were and what they found.

"Ok the cops are called and they are on their way" Ashley announced, and that seemed to stop Nick and Natalie's arguing.

As they stood there in the dark, all though it was only 7:32 the 4 teenagers became worried that the killer was near by but then they felt safe as soon as their parent came running towards the area and the police came with paramedics.

The paramedics carried a body length plastic bag that Keven could only imagine was for the body and as stood as he saw the paramedics wrap the body in the bag his theory was confirmed.

After the paramedics left the police closed off the area as a crime scene and told the 4 teenagers' parent that they wanted to ask the kids a few questions about what they saw, heard and why they were there.

"Holy balls I can't believe that this actually just happened" Keven said as he stood with his friends in a circle while the police talked to the 8 adults.

"Yah I thought we were just going to swim but nope instead we found the missing 17 year old girl that has been missing for a month and it turns out she's dead" Natalie said in a sigh with a mix of frustration that they had to find the body and now they are part of the investigation and they have to be questioned by the police, this really was not Natalie's image of a fun Friday night.

"Ok kids you guys can leave now if yah want we will question you guys tomorrow after we investigate the crime scene" the police officer said to the kids as he finished taping off the area with police tape.

"Guys want to got to Pop's and get a milkshake or something?" Ashley asked the group and that all said 'yes I could use one.'

Around 9:30 everyone went home because they knew they wanted to be well rested for tomorrow since they would have to be up at 8:00 to go be questioned by the detectives.
