The Bomb

When detective Regan got back and took the gun to be fingerprinted,which was actually a bomb, he went to his office and there was a letter waiting for him on his desk.

Dear detective Regan,

Your co-workers will be the next to be dead if you are not careful with your evidence that you gather.

Yours truly,
Killer

Detective Regan got up from his desk and went to his assistant and asked her "I got this note and I assume it is from the killer hence the name at the bottom killer."

"Yes, but we don't have any evidence except for a rope and how would that rope hurt or kill our co-workers." Detective Regan asked.

Detective Regan got a panicked look in his face and said "The gun."

"What gun?"

"The gun I saw in the picture that I went to go get from the crime sce-" Detective Regan was cut off by a loud bang coming from the fingerprinting lab.

Seconds later the fire alarms were going off and everyone was running out of the police station and the fire trucks showed up and so did the paramedics.

------2 1/2 hours later------
When the paramedics left detective Regan was cursing to himself and then his assistant walked up to him and said "It's not your fault."

"Of course it's my fault!!!! I'm the one one who brought the gun here that was a bomb, I'm the one who did not process the letter fast enough to save those two men, I'm the one who's failing at finding this killer and I'm also the one who was not careful with the evidence!!!!!!!" Detective Regan shouted at his assistant.

Detective Regan's assistant stood there in shock trying to process that detective Regan shouted at her and then said "Its not your fault, you didn't know the gun was a decoy bomb, you couldn't have save those men anyways even if you did figure out the gun was a bomb because you would have gone in the lab and tried to get the gun yourself or get those men out but instead of those two men dying, there would have been three dead men not just two."

Detective Regan let out a deep breath of stress and said "I need to go home."

"Ok detective see you tomorrow."

----The Burns' Resident----
Nick and Mrs. Burns sat at the table and it was now lunch time and they were waiting for Mr. Burns to get home.

"I'm home." Mr. Burns called from the front door.

As Mr. Burns walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table he said "Honey we have to tell Nick the truth."

Mrs. Burns sat in silence for a few minutes and then said "Yes I agree."

As Nick sat there he thought about what could they be talking about? Was there another secret? Why would they lie about another thing? And then Nick's mom said "Nick there is one thing we did not tell you about your sister."

Nick snapped back into reality and then said "What about her."

Nick's dad sighed and said "She is not your full sibling, she is only your half sister."

Nick was stunned and did not know what to say then he only had one question "Then if she is only my half sister and mom gave birth to her, who is her father?"

Nick's mom sighed and she said in a low soft voice "Ashley's dad, Chris Williams."

Nick sat there and did not say a word and then he thought about if Ashley knew or if Ashley's dad knew and then he said "Does Ashley or Ashley's dad know."

When mocked asked the question Nick's dad shook his head and said I don't know that you would have to ask your mother."

Nicked turned his head to his mother and Nick's mom said "No, Ashley doesn't know and neither does Ashley's dad or mom."

"Well you have to tell them!!!!" Nick shouted at his parents and got up from the table.

"No me and your father decided to have the police not tell them because it would make this whole situation messier." Nick's mom said.

"No, if you guys won't tell them I will." Nick said and then he burst out of the house and ran to Ashley's.

---Detective Regan's Home---
As detective Regan walked in the door he sighed and thought to himself all I wan to do is go eat lunch because he was starving.

When he walked into his kitchen there was someone sitting at his table in dark clothing holding a knife.

When he saw the person that what appeared to be a man he said "Sir can I help you"

When the man in dark clothing, holding the knife got up he said "Detective you don't have to call me sir, I believe you know me as," he paused to take of his hood and said "your son."
