Chris Williams, or so we thought

Oh no is all Chris could think to himself after what he had done. Nick knew he was Nicole's father, which also meant he knew he was linked to Nicole. Chris went home and changed out of his current clothes because he smelt like gasoline and did not want someone to suspect something.

The only thing Chris thought about was that this was his dad's fault. Chris hated his name as a child, he hated, absolutely hated the name Oliver, so after his dad left him and his mom he changed his name from Oliver Regan to Chris Williams. Chris' mom was not a fan of him changing his name but Chris had his reasons, 1, he didn't wan the same last name as the man he called dad but abandoned him and his mom, and 2, he absolutely hated the name.

Chris went home and soaked his clothes in bleach to try and get rid of the gas smell and then he burned them with a match. Chris was used to this process by now after he had killed Nicole, his dad, and now Mrs. Burns, the woman who gave birth to his first child. When Chris was done getting rid of evidence so that neither his wife or child would see it he went a took a shower, giving he smelt like gasoline and had blood on his arm.

Chris just had to figure out how to keep Nick from telling anyone that he was linked to Nicole. Now that his dad(detective Regan), Nicole, and Mrs. Burns were dead the only people who know he was Nicole's birth dad are Nick and Mr. Burns and he wanted to keep it that way.

———-Detective Regan's house-———

Nick's dad arrived at detective Regan's house and ran in the door to see Nick sitting on the floor. When Mr. Burns approached his son he didn't see anything until he turned around and saw detective Regan laying in his own pool of blood. Lifeless, no breath, and no movement.

Nick got up off of the floor and looked at his dad who was in shock and said "dad, are you in there?"

Nick's dad just nodded and said "yes son I'm fine but I'm very sorry that you had to see that,"

"Don't be sorry dad, and I do need to get to school so do you mind giving me a ride?" Nick asked his dad.

"Yes I'll give you a ride but first I am going to call this in to the police." Nick's dad said, still stunned that detective Regan was laying in his own pool of blood.

Transcript of 911 call:

911 operator: "911 what's your emergency?"

Mr. Burns: "hi... um, my son just called about 10 minutes ago and said that he went to go see detective Regan to talk to him and he found detective Regan laying in his own pool of blood.

911 operator: "okay sir, I'm sending the police and an ambulance to Mr. Regan's home."

Mr. Burns: "okay do you need an address?"

911 operator: "no, Mr. Regan was a well respected detective down at the department and they know his address."

After Mr. Burns hung up the phone with the 911 operator he huffed out in relief that the police and ambulance were on their way and he turned to his son and said "okay can you wait 5 minutes so that I call tell the police what happened and then I will drive you to school?"

"It's okay dad, I can walk it is only 2 blocks from here and you might take longer to talk to the police, plus I'm already 45 minutes late for school." Nick said so that he wouldn't be more late for school and so that he didn't make his dad rush talking to the police.

"Okay son, be careful, and I'll see you around 5." Mr. Burns said to his son as the police arrived.

Nick's dad took a half hour to talk to the police and he was great full for Nick's smart thinking that Nick would be even more late than he was and that he didn't want to rush his dad talking to the police.

When Nick's dad came home from work it was 5:12pm and he was exhausted from his work day and talking to the police for 2 hours.

"Hey dad" Nick said from the couch in the living room.

"hey kid, what are you watching?" Nick's dad asked.

"I'm watching Last Man Standing, my friend told me it was a good show and that I should watch it, he was right." Nick said as his dad's phone started ringing.

Nick's dad said "okay well I will watch it with you after I take this call, it's the police department, I'm guessing it's about detective Regan." But he was so very wrong.

Nick nodded in response and continued the T.V until he heard his father.

"Oh my god. I'll be right there" then there was a long pause which Nick figured the person on the other end of the phone was talking then Nick's dad said "thank you for calling me." Nick's dad said as he hung up the phone in tears.

"Nick that was the police saying that they found mom." Nick's dad started to tell Nick but Nick cut him off.

"Then why do I sense that your not happy and why are you crying?" Nick asked his dad confused.

"Well Nick, they found you mom, but they didn't find her alive." Nick's dad said as more tear ran down his already tear streaked cheeks.

Nick couldn't believe what his dad was telling him and he just sat in the couch in absolute shock.

Finally after 5 minutes of sitting there and Nick's dad watching him conceded Nick's dad broke all silence and said "Nick? Son, are you in there?"

"Yes" Nick managed to say and he took a deep breath and said " where was she found?"

"She was found in the same place Nicole was found and she was found the same way, with a bullet hole square on her forehead and she smelled greatly of gasoline and just like Nicole he shirt and some of her skin was burned." Nick's dad said trying to act calm so his son would not get more worked up.

"Oh my god what if the same person who killed Nicole, killed mom." Nick said in a huge sigh and almost a sigh of recognition.

"I'm not sure son but we need to go to the police station." Nick's dad said as the walked out the door and got in the car to go to the police station.
