Chapter 18: Unofficial Friend Thing but More

Nessa's POV

Roni went out to be with Aaron,  I was bored so why not call Marco.  I called him to come over and he said he would be here in 10 mins.  About 10 mins later he knocked on the door and I opened it

"Heyy" I said.  "Hi" He said as we both hug.  "Come in" I said as he goes in and we both sit on the couch,  we made popcorn and watched Netflix.  "Hey Nessa can I ask u something? " Marco asked. "Yeah sure u can ask me anything" I said. "Have u ever felt things u couldn't understand? " Marco asked. "What kind? " I asked.  "I don't know.... Like Mixed feelings... Listen okay I like this girl,  I dont know if she likes me back but I rlly like her.  But we're only supposed to be best friends nothing more nothing less. " Marco said. 

When he said that.... I felt saddened... I don't know why why but I just felt really sad.  I know I have some type of feelings for Marco but I can't be jealous just bc he has feelings for another girl.  I mean he wouldn't ask me advice if that girl was me right?.  I didn't know what to say to him but in order to be a good friend I knew I had to respond

"Oh uh... U should talk to the person Marco... Don't keep it to yourself cuz you might miss your chance to be with the girl you're talking about" I said.  "Yeah I'll probably tell her soon I just don't know when" Marco said.  "So who's the lucky girl? " I asked. "You'll know soon" Marco said as I just nod and everything was awkward between us

Marco threw some popcorn at me all of the sudden and said " Oh... Sorry" He said sarcastically then laughed as I get some popcorn and quickly threw it at him.  "oh so u want to play huh" Marco said as I get the bowl of popcorn, threw it all over him and ran.  "NESSSAAAAAAAAAA" Marco said running after me. " HAHAHAHA YOU CANT CATCH ME!! " I said.  "I already did" Marco said as I look right in front of me and is away him there holding flour and throwing it at me.  "U ASSHOLE!! " I said running after him grabbing more flour.  I finally got him and threw flour at him.  "NO!" Marco said carrying me above his shoulders.  "PUT ME DOWN!!! " I said.  "No! " Marco said running around and laughing. "MARCO!" I said again as Marco ignores me and continues running. I start to laugh of how fun it was.  After awhile Marco put me down on the couch and we both sit down.  "Well that was tiring" I said.  "Yeah Im more tired than you tho I had to carry you" Marco said.  "Well I'm not that heavy" I said.  "Still. Ur not as light as u think Nessa" Marco said.  "Dude I'm a hundred pounds.  That's so light" I said.  "Whatever. Hey since its night time let me bring u somewhere" Marco said.  "Well dont u think we should clean up the house first?  Roni would kill me" I said.  "We can clean it when  we get back.  It won't take long I promise" Marco said.  "Okay" I said as he grabs my hand and runs. 

"Marco I don't like running" I said.  "We're here" Marco said.  "What? " I asked.  "Marco what are we doing here? " I asked as Marco goes in the middle of the street, and lies down on the ground. "MARCO GET UP!  UR GONNA GET RUN OVER!!!!" I said worried.  "Lay down with  me Nessa" I said.  "What no!  I don't have a death wish like you" I said.  "Come on.  It's fine.  You won't get run over I promise.  But if u rlly don't want to lie down then... Okay I won't force u but let me tell u that it's fun" Marco said.  "Ugh... I hate u for this" I said lying down beside him.  "Carlos and I used to come out here all the time,  laying down in the middle of the street,  and watching those lights go from green to red... To yellow (THE NOTEBOOK REFERENCE EIDNDIND I LOVE THAT MOVIE).  We know it's dangerous but we just love to do it,  it's like a death wish but if u don't think about it... It's nice,  it gives u a nice feeling" Marco said as we stare at the stoplight.  "This is the first time I ever did something like this" I said.  "Yeah? " Marco asked.  "Yeah" I said.  "Why? " Marco asked.  "Cuz... Marco... I'm not rlly the type of person to do anything like this.  In other words.  I don't have time to do anything like this" I said.  "Yes u do" Marco said.  "No I don't.  Marco,  I have college,  I have YouTube,  Roni and I have to broadcast every Tuesday and Thursday,  I have homework and... I spend the weekends for fun.  Sometimes we can't even have the weekend cuz our week is packed.  That's how busy Roni and I are. That's why as much as I want to do all these fun stuff.... I can't" I said.  "You will.  Don't worry I'll help u.  I'm here for two months Nessa,  pretty sure I can help" Marco said.  "Ur very confident about what ur saying" I said.  "Yeah cuz I am" Marco said as a car randomly horns at us rlly loudly.  Marco and I get up and run to the sidewalk. 

I laughed and he gives me a confused face. "Why are u laughing? " He asked.  "That was...fun" I said. "Yeah it was" He said.  "I haven't done that in so long"  I said.  "Well Vanessa Jo Merrell,  today is the day where u have fun,  forget about everything. Just think about this... About having fun and being in the moment. Just think about... Us.  So....do you wanna dance?" Marco asked.  "Here? Right now?" I asked.  "Here. Right now" Marco said.  "But there's no music" I said.  "We'll make music" Marco said offering me his hand as I grab it.  He put his left hand in my waist and we start dancing.  He started humming to a song which made me laugh.  "Ur an awful singer" I said laughing.  "I know" Marco said as I just laugh.  After awhile I got used to it so I leaned my head over his shoulder still swaying my body.  I felt so comfortable around him.  I never wanted to let go,  I never wanted to stop dancing,  it was like.... Just the two of us in this whole place.  It was peaceful,  very peaceful.  I looked up to him and stared at his eyes as he stares at mine. All I thought about in that moment was kissing him.  I forgot about everything,  I forgot about ppl being around us but I didn't care.  I wanted to kiss him at that very moment.  I saw him glance at my lips so I glanced at his too.  He looks back into my eyes then my lips again and finally.  He leaned in,  so did I.  Our lips we're inches away from each other until they finally met.  The feeling of his lips against mine created a string butterfly feeling in my stomach,  sparks were everywhere, it was amazing. When we kissed I feel like time stopped.  I couldn't stop kissing him,  in that moment I didn't care if people we're watching us,  I didn't care if cars passed by us all I could think about is him.  When I kissed him everything started to make sense.  I've liked Marco all this time,  I always knew there was something but.... I kept trying to push that away cuz he had a girlfriend.  But now.... Its official  I rlly do like Marco.  After awhile we both pulled away still staring at each other.

"That was-" Before I could even finish he cut me off.  "Amazing" Marco said continuing my sentence.  It starts raining,  we started to both get soaking wet but we didn't care.  "Nessa I've been wanting to tell you this since vidcon.  I like you okay?  I always have.  The girl I talked about awhile ago... It was you,  I like you,  I like you a lot.  I was scared to tell you because I didn't know if u felt this same way or not.  I broke up with Clarissa because I had feelings for you, your smile, your laugh, your everything is amazing. I thought that being away from you make me forget about my feelings but it made me miss you even more.  You're an incredible person Nessa,  you're one of a kind.  That's all I have to say.  I like you. I always have and I always will.  I feel something between us and I know u feel it too just pls dont hide it" Marco said.  What he said.... Left me speechless....i didn't know what to say but I do like him back. "I like you too... Marco.  I just didn't make a move on you cuz it was wrong.  You had a girlfriend at that time and we just met.  When Tyler asked me out I knew I had to say no cuz all I ever want to go out with was with you.  I was waiting for you to make a move and you finally did.  I like you...Marco I rlly do" I said  "you do? " Marco asked.  "A lot" I said as Marco pulled me into a quick kiss.  I smile then we both pulled away.  Ya know were both soaking wet I think we should go back to my car now and head home" Marco said as I agree and we both go to his car.  He starts driving back home and we start to talk

"So what does this mean for us? " I asked.  "I don't know.  What do u want " Us" To be? " Marco said.  "Let's not rush things.  Let's keep it slow yeah?  How bout... An unofficial best friend but more thing? " Nessa asked.  "Okay... " I said then laughed a little.  He drives me home and about 15 minutes later we arrive.  I say goodbye to him and give him a cheek kiss then went inside my house.

"Okay first of all.  Vanessa Jo Merrell you should thank me for cleaning the house and not telling mom.  Second of all why the heck are u soaking wet.  Third  of all did I just see u kiss Marco's cheek? " Roni asked.  "Okay first of all thanks.  Second of all Marco.  Third of all WE KISSED" I said  "WHAT?!?  OH MY OH MY OH MY LORD ARE U KIDDING ME?! " Roni asked.  I explained to Roni everything that happen and all she did was fangirl.  "Well how bout u Roni how'd your day go? " I asked.  "Great. I just spent it with Aaron and it was rlly fun" Roni said.  "Oh that's great" I said.  "Yeah. U know I'm getting my tired let's go to sleep.  Also u owe me one for cleaning the house" Roni said.  "Yeah yeh whatever night" I said.  "Night" Roni said as we go to our own rooms,  change into our pajamas then went to sleep.
