Sebastian pressed one button and the car was brought to life. "Are you sure you want me driving?" Dana stared at him, slightly scared of the answer. "I trust you." He smiles back, plugging in his seat belt. "That's what I'm afraid of." She muttered back. If anything was to go wrong, it'd be her fault, and he'd have no choice but to blame her.
"You'll be fine." He insisted, to which Dana pulled out of the parking space. She looked both ways, before joining the American roads. "Why do Americans drive on the wrong side of the road?" She asked, causing Seb to laugh slightly. "We drive on the correct side of the road, thank you very much. It's even called 'the right' side." He sassed, looking over to her.
After a small while, Seb pressed the middle button, and the radio came on. "Really? I'm struggling to focus as it is." Dana smiled, watching out for cars joining at the junction they were at. "But music is calming, you of all people should know that," he insisted. "Anyway, McDonald's is down this way." He pointed to a road coming off the main highway.
She drove down and joined the queue going through the drive-thru. "I told you you'd be fine." Sebastian raised his eyebrows at the girl, who rolled her eyes. "That's not the point. The point is that I didn't want to be responsible for a vehicle that is not my own." She stated, smiling up at him. "Why not? What's the problem? I trust you, Dana." He said back. Just those words made Dana feel her heart race slightly faster.
But suddenly the moment was lost as Hungry Like The Wolf by Duran Duran started playing. Sebastian's face immediately lit up, as he started singing along. He turned the radio up, and sang his heart out. "In touch with the ground, I'm on the hunt, I'm after you," he pointed at Dana, who was holding back laughter. "Smell like I sound, I'm lost in a crowd, and I'm hungry like the wolf." He stopped singing along to look at her.
The music still played as they stared at each other. "Can I kiss you?" He asked, mustering up all of his courage. Although slightly taken aback, Dana nodded. Before she knew it, his lips were on hers, and nothing else mattered in the world. It felt like hours before they broke apart again, yet the song hadn't ended.
Suddenly a voice made them both jump slightly. "Can I take your order?" A voice said from the speaker. Dana turned back to staring in front of the car, and breathed out heavily. "Uh, yeah, could I get a 20 chicken nugget box and two lattes please?" Dana asked.
They drove in silence up to the window, where their food was handed their way. "I got this, don't worry." Seb handed some cash over to the lady in the window before Dana could stop him. "I bribed you with McDonald's, so I'm gonna pay for it." He said, just as she was going to complain. Dana sighed, realising there was no way she could win this argument.
Both sat quietly as Dana drove them back to her hotel to be dropped off. Once out of the car, she looked at him. "You know, I don't regret doing that." Sebastian said, avoiding eye contact with her. Dana pulled his chin up with her fingers and looked at him. "Good." She smiled, pecking his lips again.
Without looking back, Dana hurried through the hotel doors and rushed to her room. Rebs would still be out exploring, but she could still text her, right? There was no way she could keep this a secret.
