Best Friend (Takao Kazunari)

Thanks to my Kouhai, who inspired me wiriting this one-shot. Because he seriously act like Takao... Should I say, he is my Takao in real life XD he is also my best friend, but the thing is, he is not my childhood friend XD we only met each other a month ago. :D Please enjoy this one shot! :)

You and Takao met each other when the two of you were only 10 years old. You met each other in the park where he saw you all by yourself playing all alone. He decided to approach you, "Yo!" he greeted, "I'm Takao Kazunari, you are?"

"[La-Last Name] [First Name]..." You replied shyly. You tried to hide your face by a random stranger trying to be nice to you. 

"[First Name], that's a nice name." Takao said, "You can just call me Kazunari. Friends?" He offered a hand of friendship. By that time, you finally smiled and accepted his hand. You thought that your journey with a new friend would end in that very day, but no. There was something more surprising about it, he was your next door neighbour and he goes to the same school as you. 

So then, you and Takao became the best of friends and you guys stick closer than a sibling where as he was welcome to your house and you are also welcome to their house. Whenever Takao comes over to your house, he would usually play with your younger sibling and you also do the same thing to his little sister. One day, Takao came over to your house with [Favourite Food], even though you didn't ask for it and your mum was home (This is already in Middle-School, around second year.). "[Name]?" he knocked on the door and your mum opened the door for him.

"Kazunari-kun, come in." your mum said, "[Name] is upstairs, she locked herself there for almost a day." 

"Huh, what happen?" He asked. You mum only shooked her head and let Takao in. "I'll go talk to her."

"Kazunari-kun, if someone had hurt my daughter please let me know. I just wish that you will become my daughter's boyfriend in the near future." your mum adviced. Takao blushed upon hearing those encouraging words coming from your mother. While he was walking upstairs to your room, he suddenly asked one thing to himself; 'Have I fallen inlove with my best friend?' As he entered your room, "[Nickname]-chan!" he greeted with a smile. But once he saw you curled into a ball, (lol is this grammar even right? HAHAH correct me if I'm wrong.) Takao's smile suddenly faded away. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked.

"Kazunari!" you looked up to him, your eyes were, however, puffy due to crying a lot. Takao approached you. "He left me." you said, 

Takao hugged you, "It's okay," he said, "It's his loss, not yours. He wasted a beautiful girl like you. Don't worry [Nickname]-chan, there are many other guys out there. You deserve someone better." he said and smiled at you. "I brought [Favourite Food]." he said, showing it to you and finally you smiled brightly. While you and Takao were eating [Favourite Food], again, Takao had another moment, 'Don't worry [Nickname]-chan... I'm here.'

Graduating Middle-School kind of crushed your feelings because the two of you would be in different schools... that is what the two of you thought. When you came to Shutoku, Takao was there in the same class as you. "KAZUNARI!!!" You tackled him into a hug, 

"[Nickname]-chan!?!?!!!" Takao exclaimed,

You punched him playfully on the arm, "How dare you not speak to me about this, huh!?!??!!!" you said viciously,

"Uh, surprise?" Takao grinned, "Were you surprised?"

"I am, I am. You stalker!" you joked,

"No, I think you are stalking me." he teased back. 

"Urgh, I hate you Kazunari!" you said teasingly,

"I love you [Nickname]." he replied, yet it felt like he meant it and you blushed a lot.

"That was a joke, right?" You raised a brow. Takao remained silent and smiled at you when the teacher came in.

You didn't pay attention in class, you were still thinking about what Takao had bluttered. Did he mean it or was it a joke? Sometimes, whenever he teases you, you couldn't figure it out whether he meant it or not. But this one was something different. You had a moment of realisation, you fell in love with your best friend and childhood friend. Isn't that great, your best friend becomes your boyfriend. 

By dismissal time, Takao was still silent until you finally decided to approach him, "Kazunari," you called, 

"[Nickname]-chan, are you mad?" he asked, 

You raised a brow at him, "Why would I be mad? You didn't do anything." you replied, smiling at him,

"Actually, I have..." he said, "[Nickname], I... I meant what I said. I love you. I love you more than a friend... More than just a best friend. I don't know why, but I just can't tell you how. I just can't explain why am I feeling this way whenever we're together, you are really important and very special to me." Takao admitted,

"Kazunari, there's nothing wrong in falling inlove with your best friend." you said, "In fact, I am not mad at all... I'm grateful to have you as my best friend and as someone very special in my life. It's funny how I also felt the same way as you do... I think I-" your sentence was suddenly cut off when Takao pulled you and planted a kiss on your lips. "Kazunari...." you managed to say it between his kisses. Once he pulled away, "I love you too, Kazunari." you continued.

"So, are we going out?" Takao asked, 

"Why ask if you finally have the answer?" you said, looking at him. He suddenly hugged you, "I love you so much, [Nickname]."
