Well, I'm so sorry for the late update minna. It's just that we don't have any internet access at home yet, because a freaking router won't come. So, here I am typing in our town's public library.  Anyways, enjoy this one shot. ;)

"Are you sure you want to continue this, [Name]-chan?" Riko asked worriedly, as she watched you prepare the ingredients for a birthday cake to your boyfriend, Kagami. He's birthday is coming up tomorrow and you wanted to bake him a cake which you made.

"Yeah," you nodded and plastered a fake smile. You knew Kagami might not like the outcome of this cake and might end up yelling at you. And Riko also knows that you are not that excellent in cooking either. "I know I'm not good at it, but I'll try my best to make one." you said.

Riko smiled, "I'm sure he'll appreciate it." she said, "He's changed a lot, compared the last time."

What happen last time? You tried to cook for Kagami after they won at the Inter-Preliminaries. It ended up a failure and Kagami started yelling and scolding you off. "[Name], I'm here to recover and not to die!" Kagami said, "If you trying cooking this horrible taste again, I swear I'll-" he paused when he realised that he was already hurting you too much with a bunch of hurtful words.

Your eyes brimmed in tears and just went silent, "I'm sorry." is all you can say.

Kagami suddenly pulled you into a hug, realising his mistake, "I'm sorry, [Name]." he said, and wiped your tears away.

He made up his mind and decided to teach you the proper way to cook. Even though he can be strict at some point, but you just didn't mind at all since you already got used to it.

You smiled as you thought of Kagami. "I hope this end up well." you cheered.

The next day...

"Kagamiiii!" you squealed randomly due to excitement.

"Oh, [Name]." Kagami said in surprise,

"Happy Birthday!" you greeted, "But, you will receive my gift later." you said.

Kagami can still remember on how he taught you how to cook properly. He knows he lacked delicacy since he always make you cry, but he never failed to make you happy the most.

After class, you invited Kagami and the whole Seirin team and Riko for dinner. "What's happening, [Name]?" Kiyoshi asked,

"It's our ace's birthday today," you said, you were clinging onto Kagami's arms, "And I managed to prepare dinner for the whole team." you said.

"Really, who cooked?" Hyuuga asked,

"Me." you replied, straightforwardly.

They were shocked, especially Kagami. They all know you are not that good at cooking and you once cooked for them and almost killed them as well.

Kagami held you closer to him, "Please do tell me you applied all the things I told you." Kagami whispered,

"I did," you nodded, "Just you wait, Kagami. I prepared something especially for you."

Kagami gulped nervously, this might turn up badly.

Once in your house; you prepared dinner and the whole team was nervous about you cooking, which might taste horrible. Kagami was first to taste it and his eyes widened. He suddenly looked at you, straight into the eye. You tried reading his expressions but you can't read it. "It's good, [Name]." he said, smiling. And he suddenly, digging in, eating lots of your cooking, along with the Seirin Team.

"Good job cooking the delicious food, [Name]." Hyuuga commented,

"Thanks," you said, "But I'm thanking my teacher and boyfriend the most, who is celebrating his birthday today." you clasped your hands and readied the specialty cake, "Here's for you, Kagami." you said, "Happy Birthday!"

The design of his cake was his jersey and there was a mini figure of him and a basketball court. Under his jersey number was a note saying 'Happy Birthday Kagami Taiga. Thank you and I love you always. - [Last Name] [First Name]' written in cursive writing.

"I hope this turn good." you murmured, crossing fingers.

Kagami glanced at you and smiled, "We sure do teach each other, hey [Name]?" he said. He came to you and hugged you tightly, "Thanks for giving me a chance to show how can I be a better boyfriend to you, even though I always make you cry." he admitted, "Most importantly, thank you for all your efforts."

"Kiss!" Koganei cheered,

"What...?" you blushed, without noticing, Kagami suddenly kissed you on the cheek. "Thank you so much, [Name]." he said, "You lightened up my world like nobody else."

You slightly shrugged him off, "That was you who lightened up my world like nobody else." you replied, pinching him on the cheek.
