Win or Lose (Moriyama Yoshitaka)

Moriyama will be graduating soon and as a senior and you as freshman, there is only limited time with the two of you. You may consider it hard since  firstly, Moriyama is a ladies' man and secondly he's a senior - meaning that he'll have less time to spend with you and he has to focus on his academic achievements for University.

Both of your feelings for each other are mutual and was only revealed two weeks ago through your popular classmate, Kise Ryota. At first, you never really liked Moriyama since he's a popular guy and flirts around with every single cute girl in school. But as time goes by when he met you, he never flirts with anyone else but you. He's trying his best to win your heart no matter what it takes. Since you felt this, you finally found yourself falling for his charm and sweet realms.

On the way home from a rough basketball practice, Moriyama walks you home even though his house is just nearby the school. "So, how's your day, Yoshitaka-senpai?" you asked,

"Well, pretty rough." he replies, "But now that you're here, everything's fine."

"Why rough?" you asked with full of concern towards him,

"Inter-High's coming and we have to win it." Moriyama said, "You're watching tomorrow, right?"

"Of course, I wouldn't miss it for you." you grinned cheekily at him,

"Sweet! I'll play for you." he said, placing an arm over your shoulder, "Do I get a reward if we win?" he asked,

"Of course," you said as you caressed his cheek, "So be sure that you'll definitely win this match, okay?"

"Yes, Ma'am." He winked.

After a few walks, you've finally reached your destination; your house. "Well, I'll see you tomorrow Yoshitaka-kun." you greeted,

"I'll pick you up tomorrow," Moriyama said, "I'll be early."

"Make sure, Kasamatsu-senpai doesn't get on with his rage when you come late because of me." you reminded. But just as before you could enter your house, Moriyama grabbed your hand, "[Name]," he whispers.

"Yes, Yoshitaka?" you asked. Moriyama suddenly cups your face and closed his eyes. You held his hand which was cupping you face and just went with the flow. "Just something for good luck." He says. He slowly pulls your face closer to his, tempting to kiss you softly on your lips. You blushed in deep shades of red.

When the two of you were close to meeting each other's lips....

"[NAME]!" Your mother yelled from the doorstep and Moriyama quickly distanced your face away from his."You're home." your mum said.

"Ahaha," You scratched your head, "Yeah, Yoshitaka just dropped me by." You said and glanced to Moriyama, whose face was filled with disappointment. "Good Evening, [Last Name]-san." He greeted and smiled.

He cleared his throat and pulled into a hug instead, "See you tomorrow, [Name]-chan." he said,

"Moriyama-kun," Your mum called him just as before he leaves, "Thanks for walking [Name] home." she said.

"No worries, [Last Name]-san." He winked, "I've got to go." he said and finally trialled off.

You watched him as he left and your mum suddenly elbowed you, "Your boyfriend is such a gentleman." she commented,

"Er, thanks mum." you said, "He's actually a ladies man and he's still not my boyfriend."

"Not anymore." Your mum smiled,"You really suit each other." she added and finally letting you enter the house.

The next day...

"[Name], your boyfriend's here!" Your mother yelled from downstairs. You groaned upon hearing her voice, "What the hell..." you mumbled as you glanced at the clock, it was only 8.45 in the morning. You sighed, "Why so early, Yoshitaka?"

But instead of complaining, you just got dressed anyway since you wanted to be with him and watch him play.

Once you got downstairs, you saw your mum and Moriyama at the dining room. "I'm ready." you said,

"You look perfect," Moriyama commented, love struck by you.

"Shut up," you murmured yet you were blushing, "W-Were going mum." you said and dragged Moriyama's hand, leading him outside the house.

"Alright," your mum said, "Good luck, Moriyama-kun. See you later, [Name]."

"Bye Mum!"

"Bye [Last Name]-san."

At the gymnasium, just as before Moriyama could step out to the court, you stopped him. "[Name]-chan, I thought you were already on audiences?" he asked,

"Well, I forgot something." you said, blushing. Still deciding if you're going to do it or not.

"Quick, what is it?" Moriyma asked. You quickly pulled him and planted a small kiss on his lips. "Go-Good Luck, Yoshi-Yoshitaka." you stuttered and left.

Moriyama watched you as you leave and he was blushing lightly. "I'll do my best for you, [Name]." he muttered.

Match skip...

Touou Academy won, which means Kaijou lost the Inter-High match. You couldn't believe it. You suddenly worried about Moriyama, now that they have lost the match and you promised to give him a reward. Which is you becoming his official girlfriend. But as of now, you screwed that idea and make that promise as an encouragement instead.

You went to the Kaijou locker rooms and Moriyama wasn't there. So, you decided to look for him and he was outside.

"Yoshitaka-kun!" you called, he glanced at you, "I was looking all over the place for you."

"[Last Name]," Moriyama called. That's odd. He used to call by your first name.

"Huh," you blinked,

"I.... lost." Moriyama mumbled in disappointment, "I guess, I'm not... worthy for you at all." He added, "Sorry."

"Hey," you pulled him into a hug and ruffled his hair, "Don't say that."

Tears suddenly streamed down his cheek and you felt it, "I guess I'm really not good enough to play..." he said, "And I'm not good enough for you."

"Tsk, don't say those words, Yoshitaka!" you protested yet trying to encourage him, "You may have lost the match, but you didn't lose me." you patted his head, "I'm still here and you're still the winner for me." you said, "You can still claim your reward even if you didn't win."

"What is my reward?" he asked, he pulled away from the hug, making him face you.

"I said you didn't lose me," you said, "Which means...." you smiled,

"... Is it?" he asked,

"Yes." you replied, "I'm officially yours."

Moriyama's gloomy face turned into a bright smile. Due to his excitement, he hugged you and spun you around. "Thanks [Name]." he said, still hugging you and not wanting to let go.
