NOT YAOI. YET AGAIN.

"If I just try... I will stop chasing him... but seriously, I'm confused. It would be unfair. I don't want him to think that he's only an option unless I prove him that I really have moved on from the scars of the past..." you thought to yourself again. You couldn't sleep at all. Thinking about both Takao and Midorima. If you continued to hold onto Midorima, you would always end up getting rejected. But if you decide to finally move on from him, then you could end up being happy with Takao.

The next day, you were wondering where the basketball team was. Later on, it crossed your mind, it was their match against Rakuzan. You immediately decided to get your attendance checked for the day and headed towards the gymnasium to watch the game. Upon reaching the gymnasium, it was already at 4th quarter and Rakuzan is in the lead. "Oh no." you gasped, you just couldn't believe what was happening.

Meanwhile, during the game, Takao continued to assist Midorima just to win the game. But deep inside, he was a little angry because of the issue about you and Midorima but he just set this aside for now. "Kazunari-kun..." you whispered. After the match, it was said that Rakuzan had finally won the game, 80-76. You can clearly see the disappointments in Shutoku regulars' eyes, especially Takao and Midorima. You decided to at least try to cheer up the two of them. But wait, that was a bit awkward but you didn't mind.

On your way to the change rooms, Miyaji found you. "If you're looking for Midorima, he's still in the change rooms." Miyaji said,

"How about Takao?" you asked,

"He's out somewhere." he replied. You then decided to find where Takao is. Outside, you successfully found Takao.

"[Nickname]-chan," Takao called,

"Kazunari-kun." You mumbled, "It was a good game. I know you did your best." you tried cheering him up. He suddenly hugged you and you madly blushed, "I-I know you needed someone to cheer you up, so here I am." you returned the hug back.

"Would you mind staying with me?" he asked,

You smiled, "Of course," you replied. While you and Takao are having your moment, Midorima suddenly came, "I knew I'd find you here, [Name]." Midorima said,

"Shin- M-Midorima-kun." you called, a bit surprised.

"[Name], where was I when you needed me?" he asked, you didn't respond to his question. Instead, you looked away, "And everytime I was upset you were always there for me. I don't know why but I just suddenly felt something weird."

"Midorima-kun..."

"I'm not used to this, [Name]." he said,

"Where were you when [Name] needed you, Shin-chan?" Takao bluttered,

"Kazunari-kun!"

"All those times you kept rejecting her, I was the one with her." Takao defended, "What is her role in your life anyway?"

"You do realise that she's inlove with me." Midorima said,

"People's feelings change, Shin-chan." Takao replied,

"What is that suppose to mean?"

"Stop it!" you said and sighed, "Whatever happens, happens. Nothing will happen if the two of you continued this. For now, I will go straight to the point to give you an idea of what I am feeling now. I'm confused! I need space! But you two are just driving me crazy, I don't know what to do. But there is one thing I know that is absolute," you said and looked at Midorima then Takao.

"I would rather choose the one who loves me than the person who I love who can't even love me back." You said, "One day, I will learn how to love you back that is for sure and we would never look back to the past ever again." You looked at Takao and smiled sweetly at him and left.

Midorima watch you as you left, he turned to Takao and tapped his shoulder, "Please take good care of [Name] and do the things I could've done to her when she was inlove with me. Don't you dare hurt her or die, Takao." Midorima said,

"Of course, I'll tell her, it was you who said that." Takao said, "You won't be disappointed, Shin-chan."
