The minute we got to the hospital, I jumped out of the car and ran into the building.

My family ran after me,

"Derek calm down!" my dad said.

"What room is she in?" I asked.

"269," Delaney answered.

I ran down the hallway as I saw her parents in the waiting area, I came to a stop.

"Is she stable?" I asked.

"Yes but we don't want you to go in there," her dad said.

"Sir, with all due respect, I'm in love with your daughter. I made a mistake and I plan on fixing it. I love this girl with all my heart and I made a very bad mistake that I will never make again. I just need to see her, please," I begged.

Her dad looked at me for a few long seconds before breaking contact,

"Go," Is all he said.

I opened her door and saw her laying on the bed, hooked up to all the wires.

She had a breathing mask on to calm her breathing.

I closed the door and blinds behind me,

Her eyes were low and focused on the television a few feet away,

I pulled a chair next to her bedside and touched her hands,

They were cold.

Tears formed in my eyes as I looked at her,

"I messed up. I know I did. Just please listen to me. I love you so much and I didn't mean for any of this to promise. It was a very dumb mistake that will never happen again. I know that you're upset with me but when I say I am sincerely sorry, I really am. I love you more than anything. Shit! I'm in fuckin' love with you!" I cried.

I saw a tear roll down her cheek,

Tears started to form in my already bloodshot eyes,

"Please say something," I begged.

I held her hand and rubbed her knuckles.

She sat up slowly and looked at me,

"Derek.." she mumbled.

"Yes? I'm here," I answered.

She grasped into my hand held it tight,

"I love you too," she answered.

"I'm very sorry and you have no idea how bad I wish I could take back that night. And I promise you I'll never do anything to hurt you again. You're my baby," I cried while running my hand through her hair.

I kissed her hand then her forehead,

Rays of sunshine were slipping through the blinds,

She smiled a little and moved her mask off.

She held my face in the palm of my hands as she kissed my lips and I kissed back lightly.

"You called me baby," she grinned.

"What?! No!" I covered up.

"Well you said I'm you baby but you technically called me baby," she explained.

"I guess you caught me," I gave in.

"I'm still upset about what happened, though," she said.

"We can talk about it when we get you're rested and better. I want you to be okay and back to you before you go off on me," I joked.

She chuckled and rubbed her thumb over her my knuckles,

My mom came in with flowers and stuff.

"Hey how're you feeling?" my mom asked.

"Much better. They made me cough the pills up before they did anymore damage and thank you for everything," she spoke.

"Anytime and we're all glad you're okay," my mom spoke.

"Thank you. I should be out of here after they're done with all of my tests and my lab results come back," she said.

"Okay that's good and I'm glad you and Derek got the chance to talk," my mom added

"Yeah, me too," she said glancing at me.

"Well we're gonna go and I'll see you when you get home. You're mom is having a dinner and invited Danny, Delaney, Derek and I," my mom said.

"Okay see you guys then," she smiled.

We said our goodbye's as we headed out of the hospital.

All I could think about was her and how much so love her..
