I woke up to the sound of an alarm clock,
"Baby. Wake up." I said shaking Ava.
"Mmm no. 10 more minutes." She mumbled.
"Get the fuck up before your parents come in here." I growled.
She hit me in the face and groaned.
I got up and put my shorts on,
"I'm telling your parents." I said.
She flipped me off and went back to bed.
I left her room and checked around the house for her parents but I guess they were gone.
I went back into her room,
I kissed her lips and stroked her hair,
"If you get up we can go costume shopping after school." I mumbled.
She woke up,
"I want to be something cute." she whined.
"Be yourself." I smirked.
"Fuck off ass wipe." she snarled.
"Cheerleader? Nurse? Stripper?" I suggested.
"Then what're you gonna be?" she asked.
"A jock or doctor." I said pulling her into my lap.
"Now get up and get ready." I said.
"I don't feel well, babe." she whined.
"Do you want me to call your mom?" I asked.
"Please? It's my meds." She said.
"Well I'll stay here with you all day and have Delaney get our work from the office." I said.
"Thank you babe." she smiled.
"Anything. I'll also have my mom call the school and tell them I'm sick." I said.
—
"Okay thanks mom and I'll be with her all day." I said.
"Thank you Derek. And Delaney will drop off everything after school." She said.
"Okay thanks." I answered.
My mom and I said our goodbyes then I joined Ava back in her room.
"You need to eat something." I said.
"I'm not hungry." she said.
"You need to eat. Just eat a sandwich okay?" I said.
"I said I'm not fucking hungry!" she yelled.
"Fine then drink some fluids." I said.
"No." she mumbled.
"You know what? I give up. Go ahead and sleep. I'll be downstairs." I yelled.
I walked out of the room and went downstairs to make myself some food.
I called my mom while I was at it,
"Hey Derek how's she feeling?" She asked.
"She won't eat or drink anything." so answered.
"Let her sleep a bit and she'll come around eventually." My mom said.
I sighed and decided to watch tv for a while.
