Luke's POV

I cover my eyes, being stabbed by tiny pieces of the windshield. I was being pulled out by a stranger. "Mikey," I mumble. I look up the guy groggily. "Michael. W-Where's Michael?" I groan. He nods. "He's being helped. You're gonna be fine mate. We called the ambo. They're on their way," He said. I see a couple people on the other side of the car. I attempted to crawl over there.

The man put his hand on my shoulder and stopped me. "He's okay," He said. I shook my head. I slipped away from his grip and wobbled to Michael. He'd been successfully pulled out, blood running down his arm and a cut above his eyebrow. "You're okay Mikey," I soothe. He was breathing, that was good. "You're okay," I repeat. He tried to open his eyes, but failed.

I cradle him, brushing back his hair. He intertwined our fingers, making me smile. "You're okay," I say again, wiping away the blood from his forehead. The ambulance show up, taking the other driver into one car, and Michael into the other. I begged to ride with him, and they finally let me. They placed him in a stretcher. I sat in the back as a lady bandaged my head and cuts. "You alright?" She asked. I nodded, never looking away from Michael.

"He'll be alright," She said. I held his hand, fighting back tears. I knew he was going to be, I mean, he had to be. "Are you two a couple?" She asked. I sheepishly nodded. "Don't worry about him, um," She paused. "L-Luke. And he's Michael," I said. She nodded. "I'm Gabriella," She smiled. I smiled back, then looked at Michael. He was asleep, and I knew he was asleep, because he was breathing.

We got to the hospital and they took Michael up to a room. "Sorry. Family only," Someone said. "No. You have to let me in!" I beg. "Sir. You're not family, please wait out here," He said, trying to calm me down. Gabriella came out of the room. "I'm sorry Luke," She says. I kick the wall angrily.

I sit down on a seat, kicking the ground harshly. Every once in a while, Gabriella would come and check on me, but I'd just shoo her off. After a couple hours, Calum called me. "Hey," He says. "What?" I said. "Everything alright?" He asks. "Yeah. I'm fine," I mumble. "Where are you? Its almost 7," He said. "I-I got in am accident, but I'm fine," I say. He gasps.

"Luke! Are you okay?" He exclaimed. "Yeah. I'm okay, just a couple scratches, but my car," I say. "I'll pick you up," He offered. "No I'm gonna be here a while longer. I'll call you," I said. "Okay." I hang up. "Mr. Hemmings," A voice says. I turn and see a doctor. "Yes s-sir," I stutter. "Michael is a little more stable. Would you like to see him?" He said. "Yes," I answer almost immediately.

I walk into the room. He was asleep, his hand dangling off the side of the bed. I pull up a chair and sit next to him. "Hey Mikey," I say. He moves slightly on his side. A small smile formed on his face. Slowly, his eyes opened. "L-Luke?" He whispers, his voice raspy. I nod. "Yeah. I'm here Michael," I said. "A-Are you okay?" He asked. "Yeah. I'm fine. Just a few cuts. How're you feeling?" I said. He groaned and said "I could be better". I couldn't help but smile.

"Well. I've got to get back home. I'll see you later," I said. He grabbed my hand, lacing our fingers. "No. Please. L-Lukey," He said. "I have to go Michael. You're going to be released tomorrow, since you're not too hurt. I'll see you tomorrow. I promise," I said. "H-How?" He asked. "I'll find a way. I promise Mikey," I said. He started to smile, but lost it and put his hand to his forehead. "See you later Mikey," I said. I kissed his forehead and left.

Michael's POV

I watched Luke leave, and I wanted to stop him, but I knew that he could stay after hours. My head pounded and clenched my hand weakly, feeling drained. Every time I tried to fall asleep, my mind flashed bark to the accident. Shattered glass and bloody cuts. Dented metal and scared people. I wanted to scram, but if I did I don't think they'd let me leave.

Seeing Luke all cut up like he was made me feel bad. There must've been something I could've done to keep that from happening. Nothing came to mind. I started to drift off, even though it was barely 7. I curled into a ball and fell asleep. I woke up slowly, stretching my arms. I sat up and waited. I waited for Luke to come in, because going back to sleep was pointless.

Around noon, Luke showed up. He was let in. "Hey Michael," He smiled, kissing my temple. I smiled. "Hey Luke," I said. "What's wrong?" He asked. "I just want to go home," I said quietly. "I'll be right back. I'm gonna go talk to them. Okay?" He says, standing up. I nodded. He came back fifteen minutes later. "They said you could leave in about two hours," Luke said. I sighed.

Luke waited with me, and the two hours passed by slowly. I put my clothes back on, I never understood why they put hospital patients in gowns. Oh well, that's done with. "You okay?" He asked. "Yeah. Just a bit of a headache," I say. He wraps his hand around mine. "How'd you get here?" I asked. "I got a ride," He says, looking at the floor.

"W-With Ashton."
