On Your Side (Thranduil Fanfiction-- The Hobbit & The Lord Of The Rings) Part 1

King's Bride??!!

I just can't believe what he told me a while ago. He asked me to be his friend and to think that we've just known each other for just 24 hours or less. Its not that I do not like to accept his offer a while ago but the time for us to know each other is short. But, I think it is an opportunity for me to help him. Maybe by staying beside him will help him cope up to painful memories and experiences he had.

Anyway, after my conversation with King Thranduil just a few hours ago, I left him alone for him to fix himself. If he'll ask me to fix him like I'll take care of him like a baby, I'll punch him (though of course I cannot do that) . I am in my room right now actually. I am trying to take a nap. My eyes hurts like as if too many dust came into it. After a few seconds... Someone knocked on my door.

"The door is open, you may come in." I shouted. I have to shout alright. How can that person outside will hear me if I will not shout but of course my shout can only be heard just outside the door.

"The King is requesting your presence in the dining hall, My Lady." A maid said as she bowed down.

"You don't have to bow to me, my dear." I said. Well, I don't know her name, better yet call her by some endearment.

"My Lady, I will be punish if I will not do so. I see that Lord Thranduil is treating you too much more than a guest." She said still looking at ground, bowing at me.

"Look at me, dear. I am just like you, you know? I do not have any power. He may treat me more than a guest but still, you do not have to bow at me like that. It is as if you're saying that I am a god or what. I am not." I said while smiling at her. That is the time that she look a me. She smile to me in return.

"My Lady, to all people that our king brought here, you are the the most humble of all... And kind." She said to me smiling.

"My parents taught me to be one. By the way about the king treating me like I am important, well... That's nothing alright. Uhmm... Tell him I'll come later." I told the maid. Instead of going out already, she stayed there like I never said anything so I look at her.

"Anything else you need, my dear?" I ask her. Looking at her curiously.

"The king also told me to help you fix yourself, my lady." The told me smiling from ear to ear.

"Huh? He asked you to? Really." I said. It is like I am talking to myself than talking to her.

"Yes, My lady" she said simply while still looking at me with big smile on her face that looks like... It has meaning. I sigh... What can I do right?

"Alright then." I said and smiles. Just after I said those words, she take the brush from the top of the drawer and began to brush my hair.

"You got a beautiful hair, my lady. I'm sure your child with the king will be as beautiful and wonderful like you?" She said out of the blue. That made me look at her in surprise.

"What?" I said. Is she thinking that I am a king's bride? Oh my goodness!!

"I'm just saying, my lady." She said as she starts to braid my hair. Gosh... What will I do? I don't like her to be upset. Ugh... Never mind!

"A-are you thinking that I am the k-king's bride?" I nervously ask and I feel her nod.

"B-but I am not. I am just his friend... But please don't be upset. Everybody is making mistakes." I said and I heard her chuckle. What's up with that?

"I know, my lady and I am not going to be upset. It's just that I am imagining what will happen if our king will marry you. If that happens, I'm sure its good and everybody will be happy." She said.

"I am human and I'm not meant to be married to any elves. Of what I heard, the way you marry in this world is that, you are going to marry the same race as yours. Elves marrying a human is a taboo more importantly if the elf you are going to marry is one of the high elf. Did I get that right?" I said to her. I just felt that she nods.

"But that can not be followed, my lady. If anyone wants to marry a human they will always will." She said. I smile to that but I do not like the thought that they're making me the king's bride. After a minute...

"There you are, my lady. You're done now. I hope he is not going to get angry that you are late." She said while looking at me with nervous look. I just smile at her.

"I promise you he will not be." I said and we walked down the hallways going to the dining hall. The maid take me their. After a minute, we are there already.

"Thank you for accompanying me here. I hope I'll see you around." I said and she smile at me and I did it in return. After that she walk away while I began to go inside the hall now.

"What took you so long?" The King said with his angry look.

"Well you just told the maid who attended me that she is going to help me fix myself and she just did. That's the reason why I am late." I said as I smile while he just take a sigh.

"I'm sorry. I just remembered that I did told her that." He said while stepping near me. He push the chair for me. See how sweet and gentleman he is.

"That is alright." I said and I smile again. After that, he then smile at me.

"Shall we?" He asked. I just smile and nod.
