On Your Side (Thranduil Fanfiction-- The Hobbit & The Lord Of The Rings) Part 1

New Chapter of Life

Jannidriel is sitting on the bed while her back is on the headboard and Legolas' head on her lap. She's looking outside the window and the bright light of the moon is shining on her face.

I looked at Elrond and he only smiled at me and went out immediately. She looked at me with a smile plastered on her face. Looks like she did not bade goodbye a while ago.

"I am sorry that I have to tell you, goodbye just a while ago. I didn't mean it. I only thought I will die already for... Good. I'm sorry." She said and made a sly smile then looked away.

"If ever I am dead by now... Are you going to be happy?" She asked after a while.

"No." I shortly said and walk slowly near the bed.

"I am sorry that I have to ask you that. I see that you look very tired today. Come and rest." She said and pat the space near my son. I went there and sat down.

She looked at me with her eyes full of love and sweet smile on her lips.

"Go on... Sleep. I will be here to look for the two of you." She said. I decided to join my son on the bed. She's right, I am tired and I need to rest. I may hate her but I still want to sleep and for me to have a peaceful sleep, I have to shut up and let my problems go away.

Fast Forward .... (600 years later)

I woke up to a loud sound. I got up quickly to see what is that and I was surprised to see my wife standing on the bed, wearing her nervous smile while holding a tray of food.

"D-did th-the sound  woke  you up?" She asked nervously. I only smiled to her naive side. I decided to forgive her but of course I don't forget. We, elves are like cursed to remember every memory in our life. The only thing for an elf to forget is to die.

"Yes, it did. But I think it is alright. I know you will wake me up just the same." I said and smirks. I saw her pale cheeks turning into red. I chuckled when I saw that.

She put the tray on the table near the bed and puts her hands on her small waist.

"Are you kidding me?" She said and look at me with intimidating stare. I just laughed out loud at her actions. As if she will get me with that.

She put her hands down and sat near me. I am surprised with the next thing she did. She just pull my ears.

"What, are you still gonna laugh, ha?" She said while pulling my ears.

"I just wish Legolas and your unborn child will not get that  character of yours!" She said and twists my ear. It hurts a lot, yes. Alright, remind me not to laugh at a pregnant human, next time.

"A-ah... Ouch.... Sorry, sorry.... I won't do it again, melamin... I promise!" I said and holds her soft hands.

Yes, she's pregnant... And  she's horrible.

She's still holding my ears and I am still shouting when Legolas came into the room.

"What's happening here?" He said curiously and looks at me and his stepmother.

"Nana? What's happening?" He asked. Jannidriel stared at me evilly.

"Your father is making fun of me, son. You see, I am just  having a revenge." She said. Legolas laughed very hard after that.

"Ada... Don't do it again or else... She might cut your ears next time." He said.

"Ah... You have given me a very good idea, ion nin. You know, I always love your father's ears.  Legolas, give me your dagger. I will cut his ears and keep it." She said and laughed. Legolas is about to give his dagger when I yelled at him.

"Don't do it! Melamin... I won't do it again alright? Release your grip on my ears now." I calmly said.

"You promise?" She said. I just nod at her. After that, he released my ears.

"Ada... Don't do that again. What if she's going to have an unexpected labor? Anyway... Nana will be your problem." He said and sat on the bed.

She will due on the next moon. I myself is excited to have another child. Everybody is actually preparing for it.

"Whatever." I said and they both laughed.

"Ada, I just came to tell you that I am going for a hunt." Legolas said and stood right beside Jannidriel.

"Alright... Take care." I said and got up.

"See you later, Dear." Jannidriel said and  Legolas went out afterwards.

"It seems like it is like yesterday
when Legolas is just small. Now, he's all grown up." Jannidriel said as he looks to the door where Legolas went out a while ago.

"Time goes so fast, melamin... And we are not holding it in our hand." I said and hugged her.
