The drive on the way home is smooth but slow. I spend most of the time looking at the letter. It was addressed to me. Reading the message over and over again. We're going to get clues, to find my cousins. What the hell?

Maybe I should call my dad? After all he's a detective. He might be able to help find them without any clues.

'if you do that, she will haunt him to.' the voice in my head says.

'you don't want to see another family member hurt, do you?' Another says, a new, a woman's voice.

'Rebecca, listen to me. It's me, Ben. You cannot let your dad help you, you have to do it alone. Not even George or Theo can help?' Ben?

"Ben?" I say, confused.

"Becs, Ben's dead- what? He's speaking to you in your head? That's not fair! I'm his grandson, no sorry, great grandson!" William says.

"Ha! He chose me." I smirk.

Wait, what about William, could be help me?

'only a little. After all he can see ghosts.' Ben tells me from inside my head.

It's good to hear his voice again. It's been along time.

'I know.' he says.

I look up to the car mirror, to see a familiar blond face grinning at me. Rose. But as soon as I see her she disappears.

William pulls onto the drive and parks up right next to my white, haunted house. Just where Harry parked.

I jump out of the back and slam the car door. I run in the opposite direction to the house. I run to the gate and open the letter box to find another cream envelope.

I rush inside and open up the envelope.

It reads:

'how can I ever have a bad dream when the nightmares me?'

The voices in my head replay it over and over again.

"Shut up!" I shout.

"Becs, it's okay. What does the note say?" William questions.

"It says, 'how can I ever have a bad dream when the nightmares me?'" I tell them. "But I have to find them myself. It's for your own good, all of you."

"I understand." William nods.

"What! Why? I need to find my brother and sister." Theo yells.

"Trust me with this. Unless you want to end up dead or wish you were then you would let me do this alone." I say trying to act as calm as possible and not break into tears.

I have all ways been strong and not one to cry, but no I'm in the verge of tears.

"What, do you think they're already dead?!" Theo croaks.

"No, I don't. But we can't risk losing them as well as everyone else. So that's why you cannot help. You can't even call the police. I'm sorry." I say.

I sit on my bed thinking about where the next clue could be.

How can I ever have a bad dream when the nightmares me.

What would be in my nightmare? I haven't had a bad dream I remember since I was 8, 6 years ago.

Depending on what you fear. Spiders? The shed? No. Clowns? We don't have a circus. So no.

'think about who wrote it Rebecca.' the creepy voice tells me.

The voice sounds somewhat familiar, it's a girls voice. Soft but sharp at the same time.

Who could of wrote it? A human? A gho- one of the ghosts wrote it!

It makes sense, the ghost is the nightmare and the bad dream is the ghost trying to sleep but it can't! What is the most haunted room? Where you would sleep? The spare room!

I rush out if my room and open the spare room door. Fortunately, it's unlocked.

I look around the large dark room and finally see the cream envelope on a old seat.

I take a few steps closer and try to grab it.

"Don't open it Rebecca." the voice says but I mistake it for the one in my head, this one is real.

Oh god, please don't be Rose. She scares me.

"Rose scares you?" the girls voice asks.

It's not Rose though but I haven't turned around so I don't know who it is.

"No." I say, my back still turned, I face the wall. "The thought of what she can do, scares me."

I slowly turn around to face what's behind me.

A white dress with a blood stain. Long black scruffy hair going down to the tops of her legs. Skin nearly white. And eyes the colour of coal, jet black. Abigail.

"I can read your thoughts now Rebecca." She says.

"You can t-talk?" I stutter.

"Of course I can. All ghost can talk, just some of us chose not to sometimes."

"Oh. Why can't I open the envelope, you sent it didn't you?"

"No I didn't, Rose did. She sent you in a quest to find your cousins. And I know where they are."

"Rose sent them?"

"Yes, I thought you knew that?"

"Partly. I had that thought cross my mind. But now, it makes sense."

"Yes, it does."

"Again, why can't I open it?"

"Because you don't have to search for them anymore. Tonight I will show you where they are."

"Okay, thanks. Where should we meet?"

"Don't worry about that. I will come to you. But you have to realise you have to do it by yourself."

"I know."

"Good."

"Abigail, can I ask you a question?"

"Sure."

"What's it like being... dead?"

"Different. It's kind of peaceful, quiet and nice. It's hard to explain really. But I did want to grow up really badly as well."

"Why don't you leave? You can can't you?"

"Yes any time. But I wanted to haunt Charles before he died."

"But he is dead now."

"I know. I wanted to teach people a lesson and find you."

"Oh."

I look to my feet for a beat but when I look up she's gone.

I slowly head towards the door. Carefully placing the envelope where I found it.

I open the door and stand in the door way.

"Thank you Abigail." I whisper even though I doubt she can hear me.
